I just finished this blanket and took it off the loom. I realized it was a bit too small. My caregiver loved it, and she's small herself, so I wrapped it around her and gave it to her. I will have to go take a picture of it. It came out very nice, but I should have added a bit more yarn. 

This is my new blanket I just started! You can see the blanket starting to come out the bottom :)

I got a picture of the blanket I just finished. I should have put two more cakes of yarn on it, but she likes it the way it is :) 

UPDATE: 

I tore apart a bunch of projects that I either didn't like, or I didn't finish. Pikachu is the apartment mascot, and he's protecting my yarn balls. Whew I need a yarn winder. That was a lot to do by hand!

Here is the update on the first blanket I started:

As I was frogging my other projects and wrapping the yarn, I was taking apart this blanket I started on the white loom. The yarn is slightly different than the yarn I use here. A little more stiff. This loom has the pegs closer together, so when the blanket came off the loom, it was as stiff as a yoga mat! So I saved the yarn. I was looking at it, then thinking of another loom I have that has wider pegs, and decided to start a blanket for my cabin with it. So far it's turning out very well! This is my first time with this loom and it's a bit different, but it's a very easy beginners loom, and it was inexpensive. Plus, the pegs come out easily which makes them very easy to replace. The white one, not so easy. 

takes up more yarn, but is very pretty. I put it on a couple blankets as a border, but I decided to make one big piece with it. I think this is going to be a prayer shawl. 

Update on projects 2/25/26

The first is a blanket I am making for my niece. This yarn is super soft. 

This is the prayer shawl I started. I used this stitch for the border on the top blanket and liked it so much I decided to do the whole prayer shawl in it. It just requires one extra step but it's pretty. 

The third blanket, the pink and purple blanket on my white loom, is on hold while I work on these two. :) 

Updates:

This blanket is getting pretty big. I love this loom. It was pretty inexpensive, so I definitely recommend this one as a beginner loom, but you need thick #6 yarn for it. I think this is my best blanket so far. It was so easy and fast to work on. I almost wish I was keeping it! I'm going to buy another one of these looms. 

This was a recent decision. I was purchasing yarn with my son so I can start a blanket for him, and I spotted this very pretty, soft turquoise yarn. Then I noticed the label said "Super Fluffee" and that was it. I had to make a blanket out of it. I took the purple and pink yarn off of the white loom since this yarn is thinner, and needs the tighter pegs. We'll just say this is my third try. 😳 The first two times I had pulled everything way too tight. Then I tried to use a new stitch that really should be used on the other loom with the thicker yarn. I used a different cast on that I prefer now, and I ended up just doing the same stitches the third times around. So far it's coming out okay. The border came out cool and I decided to border all 4 edges. 

My son's blanket will be a challenge. I'm doing a stitch that looks like a stitch you'd make with knitting needles. You have to do the stitch peg by peg so it will probably take me all year 🤣 I'm also changing colors to do stripes and I have little experience with that. 

Thank you for looking. :) My blankets keep my hands busy which keeps my brain busy and that helps me relieve anxiety and stress.
