Video games you enjoyed playing when you were young.
I still have fond memories which brings me feeling of nostalgia. What type of video games did you enjoy playing when you were young? Do you remember your first video games?
My first video games were, mario and duck hunt on NES. My first PC video game was skii or die.
on SNES games I played
Donkey kong 1,2,3
killer instinct
on ps1
final fantasy 7,8,9
tomb raider 1,2,3
metal gear solid
vagrant story
the legend of dragoon
on N64 I loved
zelda ocarina of time
mario 64
When I got my first PC. I played medal of honour, battlefield 1942, jedi outcast, morrowind, baldurs gate 1,2, fallout 1,2, neverwinter nights.
😃
I don't miss playing until the hand cramp halted it, playing through the cramps and then walking away lol.
So many goofy games, chucky egg, wonderboy, ghostbusters, paperboy, mario kart, street fighter and many others the brain can't recall..
OMG Paperboy!! 𤣠That games was cooked
@MagentaCooly I was chuffed completing it, way back when. Still made me laugh each time the window smashed and the neighbour came out, shaking fist ha :D
@Slayer22
I think the first game i played was pacman.
Games like joust, vanguard, quest, and digital dug followed.
I became a national Mortal Kombat 2 champion and was featured and recognized in magazines and online forums..
@Slayer22
When I was a kid around the age of 6 the first system I had was a ZX Spectrum. There was a series of games about an Egg called Dizzy that's just scarred into my brain, it was such an unfairly difficult game, as they were back then lol. I remember another called Cauldron too, and Head over Heals, but as for the first game I believe it was called Jet Set Willy, where you play as a lil space guy collecting rocket parts and fuel while dodging alien things.
Since then I've practically always had a games system of some type over the years including Sega Master System, NES, Amiga 500, Atari ST, Sega Megadrive (genesis), Super Nintendo, PS1, 2, 3, 4, PS5 and finally a Desktop Gaming PC (maybe some I'm missing too). Far too many games to list, but I'd say my favourite game ever is a 3 way tie between Final Fantasy 7, Xenogears and Silent Hill 2.
By the way, if there was ever a game that deserved a remaster/remake/sequel even, Vagrant Story would be it! That game was so good and technically impressive.
@SentryTheDefiant
Vagrant story was so good but challenging. To be honest, I never finished it...
@Slayer22
It was a super tough game, it's been so long but I bet it'd be nice to play it again.
Fun fact, Vagrant Story was set in the same world as Final Fantasy 12 and Final Fantasy Tactics!
Original Star Wars Battlefront 2 on ps2. Game was amazing.
I'm told people would give me quarters to play Pac Man at a pizza place. The tabletop arcade game. Where it was like a table and the controllers were underneath. I don't really remember it.
I also vaguely recall playing Excitebike at someone's house.
And I remember staying up late playing Donkey Kong Country 2 at my aunt's house but that was much later.
Kingdom hearts. Everytime I sit in the menu screen that song hits every time!
Dragon city.
Pretty much everything that was released for the Nintendo 64, with a few exceptions. If memory serves me right, I’m pretty sure I had twenty five games at one point; and a blockbuster member that I wielded like the master sword. Goldeneye 007, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Brothers, Starfox 64, and Bomberman were my main plays. I loved first person shooters, as well. For the OG PlayStation I played every final fantasy and RPG I could get my hands on, final fantasy 7 & 8 were my favorites, but I also played my fair share of twisted metal. I had a sega Dreamcast, but only a few games for it. Game boy was almost solely dedicated to Pokémon. I had an OG NES, with a large game selection as well. And a sega game gear for Echo the dolphin, and a MLB game that I liked.
@RickestRick86
Did you every play any n64 games with friends? Goldeneye 64 and super smash brothers was super fun together with four players. Mario kart and bomberman too!
Mariokart 64 was the #1 multi-player game in our house. Second was Star Wars podacers on 64.
Fun times
I had fond memories playing the MySims games on the Nintendo Wii when I was younger. The cute characters and cheery music made me feel happy.
I enjoyed a lot to play any from Mario. I liked Disney games too, such as toy story PS2, Hannah Montana PS2.
