Positive Habits✨
One small positive habit I’m trying to build is being nicer to myself. I’ve noticed that since everyone was so hard on me growing up, that I am extremely hard on myself. I have a lot of internal negative talk towards myself that I have been working on correction. It’s not always easy, but I remind myself that I should be as nice to myself as I am to others .
What’s one positive habit you’re working on right now?
@Xaiyaa5 I love this as I've been in your shoes and am still like that when it comes to internal self-image/esteem and insecurities issues. I'm trying each day to do it differently, to learn to love and accept my body how it is. I've done a lot of work on myself, so there's not one positive things, there are tons, but I'll try and list a few. First off, when we talk positive about ourselves, we must believe what we're saying instead of just saying it. It won't resonate unless you truly believe it. I try and do small self-care moments every day, because I know I'm worthy and deserve it. Don't worry about what others say in a negative fashion, ignore them, and move on about your day. Nobody's negativity should impact you. Only yours matters the most. That's how I'm living my own life, not caring about how others view me. I don't care if someone talks bad about me, they judge me, or they make fun of me. I simply know it's not true and move on, and ignore them. Most people who talk about you are envious or jealous of you. I don't let negativity rent space in my life anymore. :) I hope that helps a bit! Hold your head high and say "I got this"! Have a great weekend!

My mother passed away last month, and the one habit I am working on is self-compassion as I am grieving.
@Mishka1599 I'm sorry to hear about that, may she rest in peace. I lost my mother in March 2017, and it took me about a year to grieve her, and finally I did. It's not easy. My condolences to you and your family. 😇💞😓
Thank you for your kindness and I’m sorry about your loss. This is quite frankly, the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. How did you cope? I’m having a hard time with it.
@Mishka1599 You're very welcome and I can totally understand. When I lost mine, luckily i was grateful to be by her side for the remainder of her life, all while I was dealing with dark demons at the time, so everything hit me afterwards. I was in a very dark place. I finally healed myself, grieved her, and been way better since.
I’m happy you healed yourself and you were with her at the end. I was with mine at the end. It’s painful to see what she went through but I know she’s at peace now. I miss her so much. We were very close. I have a long road ahead.
@Mishka1599 Yes, I know all about it. My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer 10 years before she passed, and was in remission up until 1 month before she passed. Her cancer came back in full force and she passed 2 weeks later. I was so happy I was able to spend my last days with her, taking care of her, and being by her bedside until her last breath. We never truly get over it, we just learn to live with it. I miss and love my mother and we did everything together. She was so sweet and the type that would help anyone if she could. I was in a bad place when my mother passed and I just dug deeper into a black hole. I eventually got myself out of it, grieved her, and have changed my life in the process. I'm wishing you the best. 💕
Your story sounds similar to mine. I wish you the best as well. Thank you.
@Mishka1599 Thank you and to you as well.

I can relate so much to this. Being kind to myself is something I’m still learning too. I’ve started reminding myself to pause before criticising my mistakes and to notice what I did right instead. It’s a small shift, but it really changes how I feel about myself.
@Xaiyaa5 I really relate to this! I’ve also been working on being gentler with myself, especially when things don’t go as planned. A positive habit I’m focusing on is pausing to acknowledge small wins each day, even little steps feel like progress and help me build more self-compassion over time.
@Xaiyaa5
i have found myself in this same position for years. it's so easy to get stuck in the negative thought cycle. one positive habit that i am working on now is not overwhelming myself with my responsibilities. for me, that looks like not trying to complete my entire to do list in one day, spacing out school and work days, and making sure that i have time to relax and focus on myself.
@Xaiyaa5 One positive habit I’m trying to build is being more patient with myself. I notice that when things don’t go perfectly, I get frustrated or disappointed really quickly. I’m learning to pause, take a deep breath, and remind myself that mistakes are part of learning and growing. I try to treat myself like I would treat a friend—offering encouragement instead of criticism. It’s a small habit, but it’s helping me feel calmer and more confident in my day-to-day life.
@Xaiyaa5
one positive habit im working on is letting myself rest without feeling any sort of guilt. I've always felt like i had to be productive, but lately ive been trying to take enough breaks and stop trying to multitask.
@Xaiyaa5
Thank you so much for this post!
