Self-care

Hi everyone!

I’ve been thinking about self-care and how important it is when we are supporting others. Taking time for ourselves can really help us stay balanced and avoid burnout.

What are some self-care practices that help you recharge?
How do you recognise when you need to take a break?

@WarmChat well, or me, I like to sing, play guitar, watch my fav shows with the room closed and my fav food! And I love to observe rain- I feel like if I were not a human, I'd probably be a spirit of nature cuz there is nothing that energises and uplifts me more than good weather!

I recognise that I need a break through the way I respond to day to day tasks. If I am feeling particularly burnt out, I know I get overwhelmed easier and I can be more blunted in my responses. Knowing these signs is integral, as it allows me to take myself out of the situation and recharge. I typically recharge through a good nights sleep, and meditation

@WarmChat I know I need a break when I get frustrated over the little things.

For me, going for a walk, listening to music, or simply taking some quiet time helps me recharge. ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

I usually know I need a break when I start feeling overwhelmed, lose patience, or can't focus as well. Taking a short break helps me come back with more energy and be more present for others. 🌿

I completely agree. For me, self-care is about taking some quiet time for myself, getting enough rest, listening to music, or going for a walk. I usually notice I need a break when I start feeling overwhelmed, tired, or less patient than usual. Taking a little time to recharge helps me feel more balanced and able to support others.
