Hope December 5th, 2022

Hello everyone,

If you are reading this, it means you have come a long way in your leadership training. Kudos to you for all the effort and resilience you have shown! It is amazing how you all are open to learning and adapting to new environments: the environment of leadership!

Before we zoom in and talk more about learning and adapting, lets zoom back out first and talk about how you feel about leadership. Regardless of how you see yourself, there is a leader within you. The one who visualizes how things could have run in a better way if you were in the leading spot. Leading spot here means:

  • A desire for change

  • Believing you got the abilities to make it happen

  • Visualizing success while keeping in mind the bigger picture.

Lets take a look at the leadership styles as proposed by Daniel Goleman

Your original style could be any of them. So for the purpose of this course, we are going to use a leadership style test to help you identify your core competencies. In brief, we are using the test here to help you identify your leadership approach. So, when you know how you approach an event, you could think and put efforts to bring a change in it. It will allow you to polish your strengths and focus to improve in other different areas as well.

Let's get started!

- Please take the leadership style test linked HERE.

@Hope

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?
VISIONARY
Your Score: 25 out of 35

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?
I do indeed agree with the quiz! I always want people to move towards subjects that they like, not what I think that they'd like!

✒️ I scored the highest (27) for Commanding and Pacesetting leadership styles.

✒️ I agree with the quiz. I value giving clear, direct orders and compliance as well as efficiency. I would also be the type to not point out weaknesses but rather try to set an example by modelling. There were questions I didn't have enough experience with yet to certainly say which level of it I would be. I think the scores could change when I do get a leadership role and enough experience in the future.

@Hope

Which leadership style did you score the highest for? I scored the highest in the Visionary style, with a perfect score of 35 out of 35. This means I am strongest at providing long-term direction, inspiring people with a shared dream, and aligning goals with the broader interests of the group and organisation.

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz? Yes, I do agree with the results. They reflect my natural tendency to lead with vision and purpose, while also showing that I can flexibly adapt to other styles like Coaching and Commanding when the situation demands it. The balance across all six styles reassures me that I am versatile.

@Hope I scored highest in the democratic leadership style. This means I value teamwork, listening to different opinions, and making decisions together while keeping everyone involved. I agree with the quiz because I believe good leadership is not only about giving directions, but also about understanding others, encouraging participation, and creating a supportive environment. This style matches how I like to communicate and work with people.

@Hope

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement ╰(*´︶`*)╯ I really appreciate it 😊

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?

The leadership style I scored the highest in is Visionary, followed closely by Affiliative n Coaching styles :)

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?

I agree with this result b' cus I naturally tend to focus on the bigger picture n think abt how things can improve in the long run. I like having a sense of purpose in what I do, i care so much abt it n I often find myself wanting to guide things in a better direction rather than just following along ;)

At the same time, I also relate to the affiliative n coaching aspects. I value emotional connection n understanding, and I tend to support others while also encouraging growth 😊 I don’t prefer strict control, in doing so... i believe that doesn't going work everywhere, in a long run possibilities of frustration, low performance might occur eventually, so! instead I try to create a comfortable n supportive environment where people can do their best 🤗

However, I also noticed that while these strengths help me connect with others, they can sometimes lead me to overextend myself or take on too much emotionally (that's how i often end up 😅). So I think one area I need to work on is maintaining boundaries n balancing care for others with care for myself (*˘︶˘*).。*♡

Overall, I feel the quiz reflects me quite well. It helped me understand that my leadership style is a mix of

  • vision,
  • empathy,
  • and guidance,

and that with better balance and confidence, I can grow into a More Effective Leader i believe 🤗

@Hope,

✒️ Which leadership style did you score the highest for?

I scored the highest in Coaching and Pacesetting leadership styles, both with 30 out of 35. I also scored high in Visionary leadership. These results show that I like helping people grow and improve, while also trying to maintain good quality and high standards in my work.

✒️ Do you agree with this quiz?

Yes, I do agree with this quiz to a large extent. I feel the results match my personality and the way I usually handle things. I like supporting and guiding people, which connects with the Coaching style. I also try to give my best in whatever I do and expect good results from myself, which relates to the Pacesetting style. The Visionary style also fits me because I often think about long-term goals and the bigger picture. At the same time, this quiz helped me understand that leadership is also about balancing expectations with patience and understanding.

Hey, buddy 🤗!

That’s a really strong combination of leadership styles. Coaching and Pacesetting together shows you value both growth and high standards, which is a good balance <3

Visionary leadership also fits well with your focus on long-term goals i guess:)

Nice reflection overall 😊! You're doing awesome (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
