I like pineapple on pizza. I like the sweet and salty combination.
Having said that, for all of those that think it doesn't belong on pizza, I could be persuaded that it puts it into a whole different category. Like, there's traditional pizza and there's hokey pizza. And included in the hokey pizza category could be the ones with buffalo sauce and barbecue sauce and chicken, other items that don't belong on traditional pizza. Or when people go really crazy and make Thai pizza, taco pizza, and hamburger pizza. What do you think? Is there room for two categories of pizza? Traditional and hokey?
I should not have stumbled upon this post because pineapple on pizza is my favorite.
As for pineapple belonging on pizza, that depends on recipe if the ingredients provide a good combination or not.
For example, Hawaiian Pizza is pretty common - Canadian bacon and pineapple.

i think that Pineapple is an acquired taste as a topping, so i guess it's not a traditional Pizza topping...

Yes it does. Who doesn’t love warm pineapple? It taste so good. Its not as sour as cold ones. And on pizza, its ao delicious 😀
