@amiablePeace77 I'm already learning what I wanted to learn ❤ every year so far, my mental health is always drastically worse in the month of July. I didn't want that this year, so I've been keeping busy, distracting myself. Letting myself cry on the bad days, and I'm doing it, we are half way through, and I'm really proud of myself for pushing through😁
@Tinywhisper11 So proud of you ❤️🤗🙏
@amiablePeace77 Trying to figure out how to word this. I think what I want to learn is a combination of resilience, acceptance, and joy. I don’t know if you can learn joy, it’s supposed to just happen, but I need to find it again. I’ve spent a lot of time getting over pain and trying to avoid new pain. I’ve gotten good at keeping people from getting close to me. It’s haunting me now, remembering the times I cried and told myself I’ll never let anyone hurt me again. I didn’t know then how it would change the good parts of me too. I don’t feel like I ever really laugh freely anymore. I don’t really allow myself to feel excited about something I’m looking forward to. I still want to be stronger, that’s where the resilience and acceptance come in. But I want to be stronger in peace, not by detaching. I want to really enjoy the rest of the life I have.

A combination of resilience, acceptance, and joy sounds wonderful! So sorry to hear that you've been hurt so much in the past. 💙 I hope that coming here will help you to learn setting boundaries to protect yourself from future pain as much as possible.
Something I learned is that setting aside time for yourself, free from obligations, can bring much joy and peace in life. It's important to have those moments to recharge and enjoy the simple things in life. Do you have any favorite activities or ways to spend that free time?
@amiablePeace77 Yes I think you’re right! I find I’m a lot happier and calmer if I make time for art (drawing, painting, woodwork), traveling, or playing games with my kids.
I want to learn how to not fall back into those spirals of staying in bed and shutting everyone out when im feeling tired and down
@fearlessabbey
Sounds like a great plan fearlessabbey! It might help to chat about it with a listener here and also joining discussions and chats to stay connected.
@amiablePeace77
Hi ami, you give me a lot of joy and peace with your presence and your interactive mindfulness sessions and live workshops are so much enjoyable 😊 Even though I was feeling low but now I feel better. Thank you.
@amiablePeace77 It's a bit scandalous but I want to learn about war. The history of war, strategies of war, and the affects of war. Why do humans do it? How do they do it? What strategies are used? How can war strategies be applied to business, politics, and economics?
