What do you need to feel content?
I need to have people I interact with to know I am content with their friendship and that I know they care even though I might not see the signs. I am content with my relationship building stronger each day with my boyfriend and the love my fur baby gives me
@pamharley003 that sounds wonderful.
@amiablePeace77 At home I suppose it would be the cat and dog. At work, it would be the sensation that I'm actually doing something right once in awhile ( which is completely opposite of what I get at work).
@Enthenia sorry that work is so competitive that people insult each other subtlely.
@soulsings I don't lnow about competitive but there is definite favoritism. I don't have the time to play politics. I just opened one of my monthly reports and it has a bunch of new names on it. I'm already up 25 names from last month and I have 5 more states to view plus my daily reports that I'm four days bedind on plus whatever random assignment they throw at me.
The work isn't hard, just time consuming and it just annoys me that some people can go around chatting with coworkers or people from other departments but I feel guilty if I go to the restroom. I have to get all this work done by next week otherwise I'll be in trouble again and the supervisors will make it aound lime it's deliberate.
@Enthenia sorry that you have so much to do.
I remember when I was working that the restroom reduces stress and eating a high protein low carb lunch or snack helped my brain work better. It may not be fair but in the end you know you did the best you could.

@soulsings Well I try to go outside on lunch. That helps. It's just a continuous thing at work. I feel like a gerbil on an excercise wheel and since I'm merely an amoeba in the hierarchy of things, there's nothing I can do about it.
That's why I'm glad for the dog and rhe cat. Going out for an hour and a half with the dog after work to throw her ball or frisbee helps lessen the tension. Being able to hold the cat when she decides to make an appearance helps too.
@Enthenia yes the connection with animals can be very healing. I remember to take a breathing vacation just following my breath go in and out it helps my mind settle a little.

To be completely honest, the only thing I need to be happy is true love and a happy relationship.

I hope you will find true love inside and outside of you.
What I need for that is what I can't have while I'm alive: freedom from my chronic illnesses.
There are a few other things I'd like, but the item above tops the list.

Living with chronic illness is not easy for sure and can make days hard. I hope there are things that give you joy in life and make you forget for a moment all your suffering 💙
