Hi lovely people in the Mindfulness Community, how are you doing? laugh

Become stronger

Life can be a constant struggle between what you don't think you can do and what you absolutely can do . Strength comes from doing what you thought you couldn't do. When you swap out comfort for challenge, change happens and the result is a better, stronger you.

@amiablePeace77 wowzers AGAIN thank you for another great check-inheart

enlightened What things have you tried in the recent past which made you feel better?

Well tbh just sitting and weeping or laying in a bed with no one around being depressed-does not make it for me! Yes accepting of what is of life, feeling a bit of what needs to be but have a limit. As you can dwell to long concerning feelings takes the focus off of potential healing. But just to get up I guess. Turn the other cheek. I've had a very bad past and upbringing so I always ask God "why do you make my heart teachable, and also care so dearly for others and supporting them in my daily life?" Have not heard back yet.............heartheart

@RumpleSteeleSkin

Rumple, I think you have been through so much, troubles, obstacles, pains that you know how it feels to be alone, be in pain, feeling worried and you simply don't want that others go through it without help. Pain can make us sensitive but also in a beautiful way. Hugs.

@amiablePeace77

I realized I could overcome my procrastination by mindfully changing my mindset.

I explained it here

https://www.7cups.com/forum/AnxietySupportCommunity_53/AnxietySupportResources_412/PROCRASTINATIONAVOIDANCETRICKnewmindset_229435/

and I call it the

I become a Zombie about any stress and instead I live in the moment and focus on a simple easy-to-do step and just start it.

That made me feel much better knowing I can just change my mindset to make my challenges seem tiny small for the moment. So now I'm not afraid to start and I can enjoy making progress which feels very good.

What things have you tried in the recent past which made you feel better?

I have begun to talk more to my boyfriend when things are upsetting me. He likes it when I write them down and he spends that time in helping me by listening, giving his ways of handling it and supporting me

So recently I came across this amazing thing which really helped me a lot!

I worry easily and often my emotionis take over how I feel and basically my thoughts consume me. I read up about mindfulness techniques and came across a "Worry Box". Basically, whenever you have a worrying thought you write it on a piece of paper, put it in the Worry Box, and dedicate a half an hour a day (i used 5:00pm -5:30pm) in which you "allow" yourself to worry. After this timee period, you chuck your worries into the bin, where they belong. Out of sight, out of mind = a peaceful night's sleep. It really works, because when you reread your worries from during the day, the true power and insignificant side of the worries are shown, and you see them for what they are. It's almost as if my worries have shrunken. I did not think that this method would be effective, but having tried and tested it, I would recommend it to and for anyone.

@Daydreamer0402

Wow, that sounds like an amazing idea, I will definitively try it! Thank you. Often we worry about things which are really not so important and writing them down and read them over after a while might condition our brain to worry less.

It has been a while that i was trying to make my relationship works well, in the middle of '' making my relationship gets better '', two questions stays in my mind.

1 what will i do without you in my life?

2 Why do I do this to myself?

Three weeks ago i broke up with my boyfriend.

I thought that i wouldn't be able to bear the loss, deal with it.

Even if this situation is bad, i could see it for a different, but it didn't last long.

exemple: in the last 3 weeks we broke up, and my reaction about it felt desperate, after the broke up in the last 3 weeks we decided that we wanted to make things work again , and for a little while things worked well, but again it didn't last long.

In the now days, i can see that , this relationship was bad for me, i can see that i deserve so much more, that i have to love myself first before anyone else, also that i'm not responsible for the acts of my ex.

I could see this relationship, out of the relationship with calm, it is like i was seeing the reality more pure and genuine about my relationship and this reality genuine and pure it doesn't have to be just good things. I was feeding one relationship that existed only in my mind, feeding feelings that there was no reciprocity.

So, the most important thing that i've tried to do for the first time is just not sitting around waiting for things to change by himself.

Also i'm taking class to learn yoga.

Learning another language which is Italian.

I saw some friends that i didnt usually see. This day when i saw these friends at one restaurant and i felt so happy to see and i realized that they people like me, they are affectionate and so fun, for me this day at the restaurant was the first time that my friends saw me sober, and i could see how happy their was for me, for seeing me and not seeing me intoxicated as they usually sees me.

It is so god to know that people likes you for who you are.

@KACOSMIC

Being sober changes everything, how you see the world and how others see you. I am glad to "picked up your life" and do things which are good for you!
