How to overcome emotional fatigue

We can become drained or fatigued when we work on projects without breaks, take on household tasks without pacing ourselves, or even when we listen to news reports.
Emotional exhaustion results from stress due to adverse or challenging events. It can accumulate gradually and affect us emotionally, mentally, or physically.
Examples of emotional symptoms include:
Anxiety
Apathy
Depression
Feeling hopeless
Negative thinking
Examples of mental symptoms include:
Difficulty maintaining focus on tasks
Failing to meet deadlines at work
Isolation
Examples of physical symptoms include:
Fatigue
Sleepiness
Lack of appetite
Sore muscles

We can address emotional stressors by recognizing what is making us feel this way. When emotional stressors can’t be fixed, we need to focus on the present. We can chat with family or friends, or seeking a mental health professional can help you.
We can write down what is stressing us out and work on it.  The journal  can have pros and cons on the subject and how to solve it. We can use our breathing exercises to calm ourselves down and focus better.

@pamharley003

The only thing that truly works for me is space and time away!

Time to reflect!

Time to get my thoughts together.

I need to be alone!

💜💕

Spending time in nature helps me with stress but also supportive self-talk and reframing my thoughts

Journaling

Praying

Are some tools that I use to reduce stress.

Being alone helps me to think clearly. It also helps me calm down. I also focus on giving some movement to my body. Walking helps me reduce the stress.

I come here and use the finch app every day along with brain games and tetris. I try to balance doing things with taking breaks and I adore the do not disturb feature for taking breaks from communicating to focus on myself.

@pamharley003 I find my rest in nature.  I like to go out alone into the woods or even a river. The sounds of nature, especially the running water, are very soothing.  ♥

What are some ways  you handle stress?

for us it helpful to talk about thing stressful in our life as there many things with our health and that  can add to our stress too.  so we  also learned to journal  things with adding now the feeling we having. as for years we was emotionally numb.  we in pain 24/7 due to physical  health issues. but can now when added pain comes see that it from stress and well handle it. also spiritual  meditations  are helpful to us and praying.
How do you calm yourself down ?

we use meditation  and holding things like a little stuffie or rock even this can be done even when out. the stuffed animal we have  is on a key-chain. that helps so other people not like make comments on  it.

we also take time for self like just playing a game or taking a warm bath helps.

petting our cat helps calm us a lot too. we paint or do other crafts can help us calm down.  watching a kids movie at times can calm the inside kids down.
