Radical acceptance
Some common self-soothing statements include:
- "I can’t change what has already happened"
- "This situation is only temporary"
- "I can handle this, even if I don’t like it"
- "I can’t change the situation, but I can control how I respond to it"
- "I can get through difficult emotions even if it is hard"
- "I am fully here right now"
- "I can control how I react now, that’s it"
Radical acceptance is a powerful tool for achieving a more peaceful and fulfilling life. always remember that you cannot escape the situation but you can change the way of dealing problem .

Not everything is temporary.
can you do something about it , yes but it’s labelled mental illness. Otherwise no.
you chose the no option, then it’s a life being a powerless witness to a situation that causes unmeasurable pain that you would give everything to change. Until you don’t feel. You lose feelings when you achieve the total cognitive shutdown of anything other than the present moment with guarded thoughts.
understanding that all you can impact/effect is your reaction or response is a important lesson. A understanding that I was oblivious about till around 30. It’s a difficult change in perspective once understood but worth the lifting of a lot of weight it provides.
You can control how you respond, but generally, I don't think that you can truly change how you feel about certain things. You can do the most practical things that needs done, but if we also see life in a purely practical thing to get through the years on earth, but if that is all that life has to offer, I tend to think that is also an extremely limiting version of what life really is.
