Are you wasting time?
"Stop wasting time on nonsense and start making time for what makes sense"
Unfortunately many people spend a lot of time on doing things which are not required and do not make them feel better like wasting time on unnecessary Web surfing.
Today, I would like to ask you to share your ideas about tracking of time “spent well” and time “wasted” for a certain time like one week.
How could it help to change unskillful behavioural patterns?

A time well spent for me is when you do something meaningful. Sitting, meditating doesn't look like DOING somthing, but it is still timr well spent as it contribute to greater awareness. This week i still scrolling facebook and ruminating on negativity and comparing myself to others a lot. To change that, i would like to focus on myself. I would like to breath deeper and let my inner mind do its work.
@bubbleBalsam6602
I find that comparing myself with others never leads to something useful. So many people post things on facebook and often it's fake. Sitting meditation is definitively a better way to spent time. 👍

For me it is about doing what is in the energy of this moment. Exercising when I feel like it and washing dishes when I feel like it. That way I am not fighting myself.
@soulsings
Sounds like to have found a peaceful way to live soul.

@soulsings
I am glad you are not fighting yourself and have come to the part of doing what you want, when you want. That is a great way to be and live.
I needed this reminder, thank you! I have recently started using a day planner for important things I need to do. I refer to it everyday and I have been doing a lot better at time management because of it!
My mindless web-surfing is significant but it could be far worse. I'm not a big social media person so most of my scolling is on YouTube lol. Or I spend way too much time sitting in my room listening to music on Spotify. As far as tracking goes, I am not good with 'trackers', but I do write down stuff I want to do or did in a planner. I am definitely trying to become aware of how I spend my time because it's so easy to lose track of it.
@cafedaydreams
Planners or just writing down things which need to be done are helpful ways to stay organized.
Sorry for the late reply. I must have missed the notifications, so time to put it in my planner too
@amiablePeace77
Yes, I also have a white board I write on. It was incredibly helpful when I was going through college. When I really wanted to get down to business I would actually plan out my day hour by hour. I felt that it helped the most. Perhaps I need to get back into that form of organization again. xD
No worries about the reply! ^^
@cafedaydreams
Hour by hour sounds like a strict schedule of your day, I find that having some flexibility (free time) helps when things are not turning out as expected, one needs to make adjustments or simply need a short break.
@amiablePeace77
Lol yeah hour by hour does seem quite strict. However, I ended up using it as more of a way to help structure my day. So I was still a bit flexible and didn't beat myself up over if I didn't accomplish something at an "appointed time". It was more of a way to force my brain into time management mode, which is something I struggle with a lot.
amy takes care of a ton of business all the time, constantly. she is very good at it and that is all that she believes in doing. She feels that is always important and the most necessary thing to always do and keep doing from when she gets us until sleep, if that comes. she does not usually allow us out and the younger ones are hardly ever allowed out and they want to come out and play some but, never get chances because stupid amy works all day and night to always solve things.
Putting a clock and being aware of how much time you're putting on activities.
@yellowCat306
Nice idea, sounds helpful!
@amiablePeace77 Thanks for acknowledging
That’s my biggest anxiety, I so much feel that anything that Would not accompany me after my death, doing or collecting that is waste of time. I am searching that right thing, that purpose of my life where anything I do is not wasted.
