In our own Mindfulness Community, we learning about mindfulness in different ways. Through Discussion Sessions in Mindfulness Room, here in forums and in feeds.
Everyday, we participating in check-ins and sharing our thoughts on the specific matter. We are learning different skills. Even we try to learn mindfulness via creativity. We have our small resource library where many Youtube videos are listed by SoulSings on Mindfulness.
We do also have mindfulness discussions in forums where we discuss about the topic and learn about mindfulness a bit more. So, we all learning, sharing and growing which I think is really awesome.
I'm always delighted to hear when you share that how mindfulness helping you to lead your life better. Woohooo!! 3 Cheers for the amazing efforts of you.
Also, I know many of us are in different levels while practicing and learning mindfulness. Some of us are Starters like me
, some are Pro who hold a good knowledge on it like Soul and Rumple and some of us are in between Starters and PROs. We know something but not everything.
So, today I want to focus on that something we know or learned.
What do you really know about Mindfulness? In other words, share what you learned so far about Mindfulness and how helpful you found them.
As I mentioned I am just a starter (Baby Ele) so dunno much about Mindfulness but learned a good amount of stuffs here and it really amazed me. Specifically I learned about DBT
. Otherwise, I just knew about CBT. Thanks to Rumple for sharing information on it and enlightening us about DBT. DBT is amazing tool to practice mindfulness and I simply loved it.

I have used mindfulness everyday even if I am not feeling a lot of stress, just to keep myself in a more relaxed mind. Usually I listen to soft music and walking outdoors when the sun is shining. The warmth of the sun has always been helpful.
@sail46
Hey there Sail good to see you. Yes practicing mindfulness even when we feel good is great. Wow over here the weather is almost like 80 degrees and the sun is so so nice and not to warm yet. Wow did we just do mindfulness
@ASilentObserver
HIya baby ele
Firstly- give yourself some credit. You do amazing work here for the community and team!!
Mindfulness I guess to me is like a tub strainer. It prevents me from going total cra cra
It helps me to literally stop-drop and think-lol It helps me to not really go off on something but to take in the facts only. It helps me with the intensity of feelinggs and thoughts. So mindfulness even doing it for many of moons- still I learn new exciting things from the team and the community
thanks to each one of you
Heyy lovely to have you back!!
I've learnt so much about mindfulness through joining this community! Before, I didn't even know what it was
but I've learnt that there are many different definitions for it and you can interpret it how you would like to. I personally view mindfulness as being aware of the present moment. I've learnt about how it can be practised and the impact it can have on our lives - it is really easy and makes a huge difference. I love this community so much and there's so much more to learn and discover. Thank you to everyone that is a part of this community, and a part of my own mindfulness journey. I'm very thankful to have this in my life

@peppermintlove Thanks for checking in! I'm So glad to hear 7 cups has helped you Like I've said before, we really are one big family! I love that perspective on Mindfulness. Being aware of the present can help u let go of the past, and diffuse stressful Situations, Lately I've tried Mindfulness coloring, and I Love it!
I learned pooh has the right idea about hitting his head! I really don't understand the medical field and my medical team and trying everything that my 1 therapist is teaching me to be positive and he says I am doing a really good job since they bring me down to the floor every day.
@ASilentObserver
Yes DBT was new to me too, but then maybe different countries have different modals of therapy
But today is a day for being mindful in the sunshine inthe garden :)
@MistyMagic
I wanna come in the sunshine through the garden
@ASilentObserver
Welcome Back!!!!
Miss you!!!!
Glad that You Are Back!!!! 🎆🎆🎆🎆🌈🌈🌈🌈!!!!

Mindfulness Daily check In
For April 12, 2018
Mindfulness
Well I Really don't know what to say here?
I really need to work on Mindfulness.
l need to work on getting the words out
and feelings out. They are way down inside of me .
I have alot to offer here on 7 Cups to others.
l want to advance far on here on 7 Cups!!!!
To Help others on here at 7 Cups!!!!
@GuardianAngel77 Thank you for checking In with us! I'm So glad to hear that your willing to work on Mindfulnes, and I hope through it you can get a better understanding of those feelings. I understand how hard that must be for you to keep those feelings deep down inside, because sometimes when we do that Everything spillls out one day at the sightest annoyance! "A loose cannon"
7 Cups really Is a big family, and I'm So glad you want to help advocate for it! You may want to speak with a community leader about ways you can do so!
@GuardianAngel77
HI Angel so good to see you. I love your passion to help others. And one day that will happen
@ASilentObserver
I learned to be more mindful when interacting with others , I also show more compassion, learning to be mindful to myself, to do what my body needs. What I learned helped me very much in my daily life and particularly understanding parts of myself, like the introvert part of my personality. Accepting it as being okay and not trying to see it as my weird part that loves to be alone with my thoughts. May be this describes it best, learned I am okay and the others are okay too. Still working on other parts too.
@ASilentObserver
What I really actively learned on 7Cups about Mindfulness, is that there is no way to do it wrong. Everyone has it's own style and though the principles of Mindfulness are the same, how to get there is different for lots of people
The point where I'm at now is the non-judging part. Often when I practise mindfulness I get distracted by other thoughts, and I have a hard time not to be annoyed with myself when I do. So that's something I'd like to work on some more, also by being kinder towards myself overall
for me, mindfulness is something i need in order to know what I am feeling, thinking and expiriencing.
I am so used to living in the past or projecting the past into the future that I am seldom in there here and now.
And that is where the good stuff happens!
That is where action and creation can happen.
That is where I feel safe.
If I am not mindful - my emotions get all disregulated... i act on the emotions instead of a more " wise mind:
I tend to act out rashly instead of from a centered place within.
It , for me, is sort of like taking the back seat and being one with my observing self ( yeah - I know , so much ACT in this - lol)....but it is how I understand it.
I am tired of not being fully present and have made a personal vow to stay mindful :)
Not that I push away thoughts that come up - its more of an acceptance of the thoughts being there without having to chase aftwer them - just knowing and observing them, then, bringing myself back to my anchor.
