Ello My Marvelous Mates <3

I hope you all are doing well.

So, Saturday is here and we are close to Christmas and vacations. Yay! wink

I was thinking about MIND. Yes Mind. Mind is such a complex and superactive part of our body. I am not good with scientific explanations, so I think we could skip it. cheeky

Everyday, mind is engaged in so many thoughts, ideas, go through various opinions, suggestions, advice, and so many thoughts rushing in mind. Even when we are sleeping, it is functioning and don't know what it keeps thinking about and allow us to have some sweet to scaring dreams. "xD" Isn't it?

So, I was wondering how you perceive your mind as? As per you what is mind and what it look like?

Well, in my thoughts, a mind is just like a muscle of our body. The more you exercise, the stronger it gets and the more it gets expanded. I hope it makes some sense. smiley

What do you think? cool Let's have some mindful thoughts about mind. heart

The mind is very complex: It seems to be a free acting agent a lot. The good, the bad, and the ugly all sail through the mind. Causing us to evaluate if it's our Wise mind or Emotional mind that we are working with even our rational mind.smiley

@ASilentObserver

Hiya Silent thanks for this check in todaysmiley hmmm how I think of my mind- can I ask it????blushcheeky

Well I do agree with you on what you feed your mind it puts out. So if you feed it positivness you get a good attitude. If its fed negativity then you get some of those unconfie feelings. But at times the mind does what it wants and those times can be very hard.

My suggestions would be feed it like you would a baby to some new food. Little by little, small steps and also forgive yourselfheart

This is such an important post as the mind does often seem to be rushing around taking things in and processing them all of the time. It does have an impact on our physical health and how we actually view our world.

As difficult as it may appear in the beginning, taking a few moments each day to calm the mind can be a life changing experience. The more we practice, the more it becomes our automatic response. It is so important for this to take place as when difficult times do appear, it creates a solid foundation to help us work through things with less stress, more time to process and people tend to notice a decrease in the amount of time they remain stuck ruminating or feeling anxious.

I love you topic and cannot begin to express what a difference daily mindfulness meditation has made in my life. A few moments of peaceful introspection is wonderful whether acknowledging a stressful, grateful or joyous experience. They are all equally important feelings. To slow the mind down and allow thoughts to flow through, feel validated and then release them is rejuvenating for me personally.

I was thinking that my mind was like an appliance plugged into the body/brain. Then when I read what @Compassionatelistener108 said, I thought that maybe that appliance was a food processor. laugh I need it on a lot of the time to process life; however, if I have it on all of the time, I end up with overprocessed mush. LOL! Mindfulness is the time when I switch off that food processor and let things just hang out. The flavors have a chance to mingle.

Mind.... something to lose or be in the right of. 🤓

I have Post Concussion Syndrome. Essentially my brain got knocked around so my mind has changed. Make sense?

Ive spent the greater part of the last 3 years trying to retrain my brain. Im learning quite a bit about what it takes to relearn things in the emotional realm.

This is one reason Im drawn to this group. Mindfulness was a new concept for me 3 years ago, and now its an old friend I forget to visit often enough. Breathing and grounding are two skills my mind had to learn pronto. When Im capable of using these mindful tools, I am more in control than not.

The mind is indeed a terrible to waste. So now you should all do what I struggle to do lol. You gotta learn to be gentle with your mind and use it wisely! Off my soap box and I hope I wasnt too off the topic. ☺️

@ASilentObserver very interesting post. I agree that the brain is like a muscle that we can exercise and make stronger and more effective. Mindfulness has been shown to increase the size of the compassion areas and reduce the size of the amygdala, the center of fear and anxiety.

There are different ways to interpret mind. To me mindfulness improves our ability to focus our attention where we choose, not where the thought and emotion streams dictate. This is about gaining independence from the domination of thoughts and emotions and expressing our full potential as human being.

@ASilentObserver Lately? I see my mind as a tool towards significant projects, outreach, and growth. On the other hand, I see my mind as a large maze so that when I am in a negative mental space, I get stuck in it.
