Mindfulness Daily Check-In November 28, 2017

Hi everyone
Thought we get together and talk on "exercise". No-No not THAT^^^ kind of exercise
But on some mindfulness exercises. Here are a few that are very easy to do and just about any time and place. Also if you have some things you do to be mindful please share with us
Come Back
When you catch yourself being caught up in worries about the future or guilt and regret about the past, just notice that it is happening and simply and kindly say to yourself, Come back. Then take a calming breath and focus on what you are doing right now.
Three Senses
Another helpful mindfulness trick is simply to notice what you are experiencing right now through three senses – sound, sight, touch. Take a few slow breaths and ask yourself:
What are three things I can hear? (clock on the wall, car going by, music in the next room, my breath)
What are three things I can see? (this table, that sign, that person walking by)
What are three things I can feel? (the chair under me, the floor under my feet, my phone in my pocket)
Body Scan
This meditation helps bring you more fully into the present moment, by simply noticing and allowing whatever physical sensations are present in your body.
Mindful Breathing
This meditation involves focusing on your breath to help settle your mind.

i like the idea of saying loud come back a lot. i think it but never said it loud so i will give it a try because it is an acoustical help in reminding me of the now.
i also use pressing/ massaging my finger tips to feel the present moment.
@RumpleSteeleSkin
I loved the gif of this checkin.
Rumple.
And yeah you are right about it. Loved the idea of Come back and Three Senses. Generally, I tell myself, "If someone can do this, I can also do it." and other versions when I am stuck at something or if I am worrying too much, I try to feed my mind, "Nothing is in overthinking, it happens. Focus on What I could DO."
So definitely, feeding your mind with such thoughts allow you to stay on track.
@ASilentObserver
HIya Silent good to see you today
I really do like that self talk you do. It is hard sometimes as your brain gets blocked- but eventually you find yourself encouraging yourself. Also very mindful and positive to focus on what you can do rather then what you can't.
@RumpleSteeleSkin Rumple
Glad to see you too. Thank you. :)
