Mindfulness Daily Check-In October 14, 2017
Hiya everyone! I hope you're all doing well today :)
Something I'd like to know is one thing that is always the same in your mindfulness routines. If you are someone who likes to change it up, tell us something you've done recently!
One thing that is always the same when I practise mindfulness is having a cup of tea - the flavour changes but I find that always having some tea instantly helps and I feel relaxed.
So how about you guys? When practising mindfulness, some people like to have a set routine that doesn't change; others prefer to practise mindfulness in lots of different ways! It's totally up to you how you go about incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine, but I'd love for you guys to share what you do.
Thank you for checking in today <3 :D

I like to change things up a bit - if i am always mindful of the same thing, the same schedule - it is habbitual, not mindfulness.
So - I switch up up.
Though , I have to say, I am mindful of the breath, that is a constant!
Well, dorry guys - thats all for me for check in today.
I know, I suck.
Just having a bad day.
@blissedNblessed
Thank you for posting! I'm really sorry to hear that you're having a bad day, I hope it gets better for you.
Take care :)
@peppermintlove
Thank you <3
Hi group. I do t have a mindfulness routine and I should. I mean I check in with myself most nights before bed but thats not really enough.
I guess u could take a moment at work and check in and pay attention to the here and now. Maybe at lunch everyday. That will also force me to stop and actually take a lunch.
@yzzil
well I don't have a real routine. I prescribe normally with a Guided Meditation I do the Body Scan normally in the evenings or sometimes at the early afternoon when I come back from work. If I don't have so much time I do a shorter breath meditation.
@peppermintlove
Hiya Peppermint great check-in too
I guess for me I really dont have a routine or "same thing" I gotta do for mindfulness. I love "change" in mindfulness cause there is so much out there!!
I don't really have a routine or anything. I just use guided meditations, mindfulness when I'm walking sometimes, progessive muscle relaxations before bed, mindfulness of current emotion, and so on; on an as needed basis.
@Zeraphim
I find that doing meditation before bed really helps me get to sleep better!
Thank you for sharing some of the ways you practise mindfulness :) <3
@peppermintlove Yes, I find that meditation before bed helps calm me down and gets me to sleep easier too. We have that in common. Thanks for your kind reply. Lots of love :)
@peppermintlove
Thank you for your check-in
I recently learned the word for when I am fixated on a thought because of my anxiety: rumination.
And, since learning this new word, I have empowered myself to be more mindful of my thoughts when I continue to dwell on something that is causing me anxiety. I am able to say to myself, "You are ruminating," rather than just redirecting my attention to the present moment. I have a mindful phrase that I can say to myself to be mindful of what I am thinking, so that is something new for me.
I hope this makes sense.
Lately, I've been trying to focus more on my happiness rather than the small things going on around me that aren't as important. It might sound stupid, but it has definitely worked wonders for me! :)
i have a routine too, 10 min. in the morning with a foot bath outside and 15 to 20 min. before going to sleep. i change the mindfulness meditation videos on my mp player/streamer.
Hi @peppermintlove . Great question - for me it is a combo. Some routines and some improvising when needed. Breathing is so important.
@soulsings
I agree - breathing is extremely important!
thank you for posting :) <3
@peppermintlove you are welcome.
Thanks for creating the daily checkin.
