@PhatGuy I'm sorry to hear this but your going something positive by distracting yourself
@PhatGuy I'm sorry. Sometimes we try and something just doesn't work out. Maybe you could find an activity that makes you feel good about yourself. That way you distract yourself and you also decrease the self-hatred.
@ASilentObserver Hello :) This week I felt pretty good. There's some up and down but it was like 60% good mood and 40% down :D
There are times I felt tired and I felt like just became burdened for others, and got lonely due to not able to meet many people and doing my activity normally. it stressed me out somewhat.
How do I cop the feeling when I felt tired? I relax my mind and sleep :D Long period therapy is tiring and since I've been told that it will take times and don't know yet till how long, there are times I feel down during the process. And when the feeling comes, I just let it out. I let myself to cry, listen to music that the lyrics described my feeling repeatedly, I listen carefully to the lyrics words by words as if I'm talking about my feeling. After that I would listen to the music with supportive messages on their lyrics which tell to not giving up usually (Like Coldplay - Fix You, Lea Michelle - Anything's Possible, Demi Lovato - Skyscrapper, etc). I focus on the lyrics as if they're telling about the lyrics to comfort me. It helped me to reflect myself as sometimes I can't tell to anyone how's my feeling and I'm afraid about how is the responds from them. So I prefer to get the respond that I wanted through music lyrics. :)
How do I cop the feeling when I felt like I became a burdened for others? I use that guilty feeling to motivate me more to be recovered soon :D I couldn't be fully recovered in a blink of eyes so I need to be patient, but it'd be great if I showed the progress. And mentioning about my progress also make me feel hopeful, "it's like hey i couldn't do this before, but after several therapies i can do a little bit, let's see what I can do more after next few therapies." It helped me to keep being positive and helped me to be more aware about my body.
And I open up about my feeling, I sometimes apologies to others by not able to do things that makes me need their helped most of the times, but they usually okay with it. So that I reflected myself if I were on the opposite position, how would I feel? If my family or people I love in the same condition as me? If they're going through same experinced, I wanted to take care of them, make sure they're not down, and I don't want them feel guilty about their condition. And it helped me to be motivated to be recovered soon. :D
How do I cop the feeling when I felt lonely? If I want to enjoy my loneliness, I just do things like doing my work and reading and listening music. But when I feel like need someone, I would talk to listener here as a member, or contacting my family and friends eventhough they're not closed enough, or been long time not contact to each other. I'd just mesage them by dropping hi, as an Ice breaker. And then asking about general question. It's not always become a long chatted but it helped me to reconnect with the people around me.
@InvisibleAngel92 Wonderful Inputs! Angel! Liked the way you dealing with your emotions! Good job! I'm glad this week you felt good and you're right good/bad feelings usually in proportion every week. It's rare that someone could've 100% either good/bad feeling.
Keep trying and you'll get it done! We're glad to have you here!

HOW DO I ACCEPT REJECTION
Hii,
I dont know where to start... 😃 .. but yes i was successful in every aspects of my life just some months or probably an year ago... But as usual as other as a human being i have to taste the REJECTION... Umm.. in early days it was bitter... I should say i spit up everytime bcoz it was like the worst taste of my life...i started to find reason... I ended up in humans.. i made them stand in a row... And start blaming them.. like "u people are responsible to ruined my peace"... But aftersome days i realize blaming others was not helping.. it creat more mess.. people started calling me selfish.. crazy .. etc etc.. i become more depressed...i realized those people are like me.. they are also going through the same same feeling "REJECTED"as me in other aspects in their life... And they took my technique of blaming others( in this case its me).... so i stop blaming others ... Now i was like clueless.. like now whom to shoot this things... I know it sounds funny but i start blaming my creator GOD... Umm.. i did not get any answer from GOD till now though( later i ask forgiveness to god bcoz he is the one from where i get my spiritual sustainance till today)..so i had to find other things... like LUCK? ... but i think i was never believe in luck... Good luck for me make me feel cheap.. like whatever i achieve in life bcoz of good luck .. :o ... ? Hell... No.... So i kept the luck aside.. its not my thing.... So who to blame for the rejection.... ??? I have an answer 😎... "NONE"..... Its inevitable .. its a natural thing.. like natural emotions .. like happiness.. sadness.. crying.. laughing.. sleeping.. peeing.. etc etc the basic instincts( hope i make sense by the word "basic Instinct").... For me .. "Rejection" is one of the basic thing u have to experience in life( no other choices left)... And i dont want to miss to feel any of basic emotions in my only one small( very small) life... Infact nowadays i LOVE rejections.. for two reasons... One it show me where i am standing in my life.. and second.. how much i need to improve myself to get the thing where i get rejected( whether its love.. relationship.. job.. anything)... A small advantage of rejection is " it just sometime ( not always) help us to differentiate who r the toxic people in your life..( its my personal perception though)..."... I will finish with a quote of lord Gautam Buddha.. By doing a little modification on it replacing the word"Pain" by "Rejection"... "REJECTION IS INEVITABLE... BUT SUFFERING IS OPTIONAL"... 😄😄
@lovelyTree40 What an awesome input you shared! Lovely! I appreciate your wonderful and valuable thoughts for sharing with us.
Rejection is one of the difficult emotions which we face some or other way every week and dealing with it is a challenging task.
And, you explained it so well.
I'm sure many who find difficulty dealing with rejections will find your post helpful. :D
For me, the emotion is rejection, or percieved rejection.
What I do , to mindfully handle this emotion of rejected, is to concentrate on what was said and done - not what I percieved was said through my filter and look at what was done , again, not through a bias of my emotional triggers.
Then, I remind myself that people's reactions to me are also through their own biases and filters.
One person that actually Does reject me and, let's say, doesn't even know me - may very well be because I remind them of someone else, an unresolved issues or the like.
I also remind myself that I am good enough and worthy and my worth does not depend on someone else accepting me.
If all else fails - I do a CBT thought log
- or / and -
I do a re-frame of my reaction thought so it is more true, loving towards myself, and based in reality.
@blissedNblessed Lovely inputs by you Blissed. I highly appreciate it.
You're right, one of the problems we face dealing with dificult emotions, that we apply filters. We take it as the way we want to understand it. So, if we try to remove that filter, it could make things easy to deal with .
And your way of CBT thought log, is awesome. I'll definitely use that in my next forum discussion! :)
My emotion is my anxiety. After months of having it under control it crept back worse than ever.
My family members keep me grounded, if it wasnt for my two sons I don't know how id handle it!
@FreeSoul1417 hmm! Sorry to hear this Soul! I understand how difficult it ts to manage such emotions. But as you said, sometimes for loved ones, you try to control and hide your emotions. I hope things could turn better. If you like you could try the ways as suggested by our fellow listeners and members. Hopefully some of it could make you feel good.
Just fear, dread, gloominess. I have been letting myself get some extra sleep, making sure to get my dog outside enough for him, reading, writing, and zoning out to music. My appetite has gone absent again and is so indecisive when I am hungry. I have a lot going on so there is a reason for my email. Just trying to manage them so I don't become emotionally paralyzed.
Well I am not good at mindfulness or even identifying my emotions. I can say I do things for myself like exercise daily and while I at times can be running and focusing on my breathing and then things around. I will notice my stride and if I am having bad postrure and it can be relaxing for me mindfully.
@IamOHhh Nice inputs IAM. You're right exercising is one of the ways to deal with your emotions mindfully even if you don't identify much about it. Good efforts. Keep doing it and practice mindfulness in your way. Everyone has own way for dealing things!
@ASilentObserver thank you
@ASilentObserver -- Frustration, mostly at my job. I feel so helpless sometimes in a few areas of my life and I think it gets to me sometimes. I don't know if it is the best way but when I am alone, I just unwind and relax. If I don't I end up taking my frustrations out on others, then majorly regret it later.
Had a stressfull week! But managed to keep it together, practice self care and self compassion and work towards helping myself get out of the stressfull situation :)
@IPreferWinter I am sorry to hear that Winter and can relate to that! I appreciate the way you dealt with it. Awesome! Stay mindful! :)
@IPreferWinter. I feel your pain. I'm having a horrible few days. Just trying to make it through.
@yzzil Sorry to know that Yzzil. I hope you could make it through. Whenever you need us, we are here for you. Hugs!
@yzzil Wish you the best! Hope things calm down soon
