mindfulness daily check-in july 21
1) If you want to see who is close to whom in a group, observe as soon as the group laughs over something, see who looks at who. It is possible that both are close to each other.
2) If you do not like taste of a food or medicine, but have to eat or take it, try to hold your nose. Because flavors generally done through smell rather than taste buds.
3) If someone gives you incomplete information or avoid answer of a question, just stay silent and make an eye contact. They will likely to share more about it. Also if you giving speech, pause after every important point. Audience will remember those points.
4) If you want to learn something, retain it for better. Then teach others. The extra effort you will make to explain the concept to others actually help you also to retain the concept in a better way and longer.
5) If you want to give a good handshake and make a nice first move, rub your palms slightly to make it warm. Generally one likes to have a warm handshake rather than a cold handshake.
6) When you are talking to someone, use your hands. It reflects your statements as genuine and open to hear views. It allows person to get more interested and listen you actively.
They were few ways to be mindful about human behavior. You know human behavior follows a pattern. So if we know how a person may act to a certain situation, we may change our reaction and may outcome be better. Isn't it?
Do you know any psychology ways that may help us to be mindful of our or other's actions? If yes, share with us.
Please do share your thoughts about it. Looking forward to hear you.

@ASilentObserver Although I like and agree with the rest of your list; I feel that a man rubbing their hands together before shaking my hand would come accross as a bit creapy. Although it's possible that's just a cultural thing, or even just my personal preferance, but it's something to consider.
@roseMelody95 i know. But i did not mean to do it in front of the person. One may do it before meeting the person.
Doing it in front of person will be weird and may give wrong impression. 😯
@ASilentObserver Ah, Ok. That makes a lot more sense when that's clarified.
@roseMelody95 The person should shake your hand first before rubbing theirs.
Wow i love all of this! I wish i could bookmark or heart it forever
@ASilentObserver
HIya Silent thank you for this good check in
Ha I never slow down to realise if I do any of these things. Well if I know someone is dealing with some social anxiety, I try and keep their hands busy. I know sounds weirdo right. But maybe I plan to make bread or a lunch/dinner, arts in crafts or sometimes I bring out my clay wheel and go at it.
@ASilentObserver Hi Obs!
How are you doing today? I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far!
One more tip I would add is making eye contact with a person as you talk to them. I am not sure if it helps us be more mindful, but it helps build a stronger connection.
@ASilentObserver nice tips. I like the one about rubbing palms especially in winter.
I find that if someone disagrees with me they are usually not offended if I say I am sorry that you feel that way. It sounds like you are apologizing but really are just acknowledging that you agree to disagree.
@soulsings
omg soul i should say that more! Bc idk how to deal w offended people. I cant agree w them on everything and i cant expect people to agree w me always too. Thats impossible. Although i do think people are wayy more sensitive these days than many years ago.
@Chocolateandcakes
Yes I tend to agree, I wonder if it is because of the internet? The rise of FB and other sharing media places means that people have an audience to share what they feel and often things are then said on the spur. Its like email. WOW the rise in complaints received by companies rose by apparently over a 1,000% ! Was that because companies suddenly got worse? No! It was because suddenly there was no need to find paper and envelope, write out your complaint and then find a stamp that had to be paid for and then find a post box! Instead email was rant vent rant then press send at any tie of the day or night! No cooling off period doing all the snail mail things.
Hmm, maybe people should think much more and be mindful before pressing send?
@MistyMagic
OMG did you just vent there before quickly pressing send? lol!
@MistyMagic
i totally agree. People tend to talk before they think a lot online. Bc i highly doubt those compliants would be the same wording when face to face. The annominity of the internet and the ability to practice free speech are unnecessarly used excessively.
@Chocolateandcakes yes and it takes the winds out of their sails when I do not get defensive or angry and take a neutral stance.
