14 Day Goal Challenge (Day 12) No practice... time to clean.
My house has gone to seed. A few more days to go on my challenge and I could admit I'm feeling better. Not a 100% and still a bit fearful but this fear is in the normal zone I think. It's been a tough 10-11 days. Having started back to work and dealing with that overwhelming fear, I had no head space and little time to stay orderly. A disorderly house leads to a disorderly mind so today I will try to get my house in complete order so my mind is fresh for my test on Wednesday. It all ties together, never give up. do the small things to help the big things along.
My heart ❤️ goes out to all of you that suffer that level of fear and anxiety on a daily basis that I only experienced for a moment. It really does make things so very hard, but they're still doable. Don't give up or it wins. You are making it day to day and that is amazing. Keep it up! 🙏💪👍
Today is one chore at a time day. 1st chore: Clear kitchen table.
@IsayUncle Good morning 💙💙💙. Thanks for the coffee! Looks like you're off to a great start!
To answer your question about the diet, yes, beans are allowed. I think he might limit it to a cup per day if I remember correctly. You wouldn't have to be so strict to meet your 2 lbs per week goal. And actually if you have quite a bit to lose you could take your time easing into it and see loss as you go!
Anyway, yeah, I'm going to miss talking to you the next few days if I can't. But maybe the data will work since it's sort of in between two bigger cities. I guess we'll see! I just don't want you to think I'm ignoring you or don't want to talk anymore because I do💙
If I can't talk to you on Wednesday then know I will be thinking about you and hoping for the best💙
I'm trying to remember if you asked any other questions lol. I moved over here because the other thread was hard to find things in. I think it's cool that others are posting too but it's just hard to find our conversation.
I know I missed a little post where you asked what time I go to bed. I am usually up until around midnight. I want to move that up to 10 or 11 because we need to get up earlier to have more time to get all our Homeschool work done (the kids don't need all day, only 2-4 hours each, but it takes me all day to help each of them with the different subjects). The other problem is that my antidepressant makes it easy for me to sleep ten hours (or more) at night.
Anyway, I know you are busy working on your house which is awesome! I'll check in again later! We don't leave until 2 but at noon I'm going to prep some food that will be easier to do at home than at the campsite 💙
@Psalm139
Glad to see you're up and about, sounding in good spirits and ready to go. That's awesome. It really is hard to keep up with the threads. I know you got my back on Wednesday. We'll have to figure out a system about the threads when you get back.
It sounds like you have a great system for the homeschooling where all the kids get the time and attention they need. That's really great. You're also going to be limited on chat time too but we'll morph and meld as time goes on.
You'll have a great time camping, I'm so glad you're DOING IT!
....... So I crashed and burned on my last chore.... Back to it #3
@IsayUncle Hi! What is chore #3? Laundry? You already did a lot for before lunch so I think it's ok to take a break💙. Maybe you can pick back up on it after some lunch and coffee!
Yes, I am mentally feeling pretty good today. A little anxious, but mostly good. We decided to take 2 vehicles to give us a little more space to pack. That will be more comfortable it driving makes me anxious. It is in the same direction as my son's appointments though, so I am familiar with most of the roads I think.
My husband is cleaning out his car right now lol. It seems he finds anything to do that isn't actually packing. Oh well. I still have a few hours!
💙
#1 - Done / #2 - Done / (Finally) #3 Done
#4 - Fold last weeks laundry - Sort and empty recyclables - Vacuum bedroom carpet
@IsayUncle Good job! What else do you need to do? 💙
I have 3/4 of the van packed and then on to making pizza dough and browning some ground beef for the cooler for my husband. Banana bread if I have time, and clean up the kitchen. Make sure the cats are good on food and water and have clean litter and we'll be off. Still lots to do though!
@Psalm139
Sounds exciting. "Shut the front door!" You got this... giving me smiles for miles. I'm just doing whatever.... better than nothing. I'm glad you checked in before leaving. boogy woogy, have fun.
@IsayUncle Thank you!💙
@IsayUncle
*high fives* 😊 my friend! A thousand mile journey begins with the first step!
I too enjoy an orderly, clean and well organized home. I agree with you that if our surroundings are organised, it can really help for an organised mind. For me, it helps in everything, that I stay on task, plan my work and work my plan, goal setting, and the "flow" so that I am able to use higher order thinking as well as feel creative for some of the work that I do.
Some sort of saying that 21 days makes a habit I think? Not sure, but for me, I'm definitely in my groove spot for what needs to be done. It can be accomplished over time and even becomes almost like an athletes muscle memory and eventually, your house can almost feel as if it runs itself if you stay on task daily and plan!
Sending *hugs* ❤️ If wanted or needed! 😊
@SparkyGizmo
Thanks sparkygizmo. reminds me of one of those old wind up toys that woud drive around in circles giving off sparks from a friction pad. lol. thanks for the encourgement and I'll take all the hugs and hi fives i can get... nuttin but love, it all helps.
Rebuilding after a divorce has not allowed for any daily rythym yet, if there can be a rythym to plugging all the new holes of chaos. A lot of the holes are getting repaired along the way and good habits are being formed like you said, so thats good. (((hugs))) back at ya.
@IsayUncle
❤️❤️❤️
#1 - Done / #2 - Done / (Finally) #3 Done / #4 - Done /
#5 - Clean out fridge.... This could be a slippery slope to an abrupt end to my progress.
#1 - Done / #2 - Done / (Finally) #3 Done / #4 - Done / #5 - Done /
#6 - Clean kitchen - Wash dishes
@IsayUncle
*high fives* 😊 and big *hugs* ❤️ on taking care of all of those chores! What do you think about giving yourself a well deserved reward? 👍 As for me, I love a hot bath! After, I like to put on some richly scented lotion, slip into my pajama's and watch a bit of tv or read a book before falling asleep. I like to reward myself for a job well done from time to time. 😊
