🌊 How has your week been so far?…. Thankfully a Quick one lol.. But in all seriousness, it was mostly well, with a minor hiccup.~ As usual just ready for the weekend~
🌊 What's something you've gotten better at recently that's been helpful?…. 🤔 Hmmm.. Good question. Not sure about “recently”?.. But off the top of my head just allowing myself to “rest” when needed. (Physically, mentally, emotionally etc..) Despite what might need done, or what needs taken care of, if I need to “rest”, then I do that first so I can be more efficient for myself & those I care for.
*Thanks for the Check-ins… They’ve been enjoyable. And helps in wrapping up the week, While setting a nice tone going into the weekend ahead~
@PoliteOcean
Oh, what kind of hiccup?
That's a pretty nice recognition that the "inefficient" thing of resting ("but I still need to do things--shouldn't I be doing things?") sometimes ends up actually being more efficient than trying to force effort when the energy isn't there 💜
Hope you're having a good weekend 😊
@QuietMagic
How has your week been so far?
so far been so so Wednesday when out with home aid almost passed out again doctors not know why this keeps happening they checked lots of things with no real answers just glad home aid was with us in store and was able to finish checking out for us again one doctor did say could be pain related but other then that test that been done for other stuff all came back ok
weather been hot here for us so had to get fans out as no AC that we can use so mostly just fans
🧡 What's something you've gotten better at recently that's been helpful?
we got better at asking for help and this big help as before we try doing everything our self that end up badly with us getting sick even at times seems new home aid even picks up on things and ask if we need help
@stormieandpaws
Oh wow, yeah glad that the home aid was there. (And really glad that they've been helping in general with other things and just instinctively noticing/reacting to you needing help with things. 💜) Wonder if there was anything different with it being hotter than usual or eating/drinking/sleeping less than usual. Other possible triggers:

@QuietMagic
for us after talking to dad he said this started in our teen years so kinda think it connected to some of the trauma we had and maybe even us being a DID system but do know it get worst in summer think it due to being hot out and going into AC as we not have AC in apartment so do see a connection to that in summer
but we have it all year round so think also pain we in 24/7 plays into it too as it mostly when walking and going from like a car that either warm then going into cold or car that cool going into hot so we see that connection too
but the new home aid go into places with us when she working this helps as if need to rest she will checkout for us also she carrys the bags in and take trash out to dumper that so much help for us and make life little better for us too
@stormieandpaws
Ah, that makes sense that there could be some trauma connection--lots of physical things can happen with trauma. (Have also talked with people in the past who feel worse or have increased symptoms in certain seasons/weather because it reminds them of past experiences.)
Home aid sounds like an angel/life-saver 😊 Glad she's making life a little easier
@QuietMagic
🩶 How has your week been so far?
Quite normal. But stressful too
🧡 What's something you've gotten better at recently that's been helpful?
Being patient. 😄
@daydreammemories
Hi, it's been a while! 💜 Glad the week has been a normal level of stress. Patience as in waiting for things to happen, or patience as in tolerating things/people that are annoying? 😊
@QuietMagic
Kinda both of the patience
Yeah. Long time🫂
My week has been quite busy and exhausting. I feel quite burnt out mentally and emotionally.
I'm getting better at watching what I eat now, since I got told my blood sugar levels were in the pre diabetes zone
This week has felt very busy, things your trying to achieve you can't get done, really annoying.
I have gotten better at not overworking and stopping if I know I can't manage anymore,even if the to do list isn't fully completed.
@Harmony8682
Yeah, that's the worst when you put in a ton of effort and don't get the satisfaction of seeing your to-do list shrink significantly.
That's great though that you're able to kind of strategically time the bursts of effort depending on how you feel rather than going non-stop and getting burned out. 💜 Hoping you're able to knock some things out soon
Thank you😊
