That poem was beautiful at the end 😁 I really like that!
A Wish in her Name
I make a wish,
I take great care,
To make sure that it's not a succotash wish.
There's something to rid from my bones,
The girl I always wished for,
The wish that had already been granted,
Her name breathed into my pillow with a kiss,
Written out, too, when I stopped paying attention,
While I was taking notes in class.
Even though it hurts,
I'm not wishing for her,
Or to make her come back,
Or make her mine in any way.
I'd lost my way,
In a way that she wouldn't recognize me now.
Something ugly that she wouldn't like,
I wish to return to my core self,
The only boy she'd ever fallen in love with,
Someone worth falling in love with.
That wish fell upon an empty sky,
Admitted to empty faces that weren't her,
It lies, unopened, on an empty throne.
I've journeyed into the heavens themselves,
I've become breathless radiation,
In order to float there and hold that wish.
I'll fall with every star,
Keeping her in mind,
Once for every time I've forgotten my wish.
I'm making not a wish,
I'm making myself,
I'm ok without her,
I hope she's happy,
If only she knew...
But it's probably better this way.
@Torean

child's wish
child small and hurting
she asked a question as she sits alone by the water
why am i not wanted and hurt
she wishes that she know what she did wrong
to be hurt and rejected by her own parents
then as she sitting their by the river
there rises from the water a rainbow
she looks at the rainbow
then she remembers a bible story
she remembers what God said that day
this give her hope
she know her life not going to change
but her wish was partly answered with the rainbow
she see she not alone as He there with her
this hope is a answer to her wish
she know now she not to blame self for being hurt
child she is see the hope of the rainbow
given this wish away into the water of the river
she may never know fully why they hurt her
but she holds onto hope as if it all she has in the world
many and many years pass
the child now a women she take and follows that hope
set free from them free to fly as never before
child wish come in away answered with in this freedom
not not me that was to be blaming self for their actions
she as a women knows she did not deserved the pain and abuse
it was not hers to own but maybe someday the one who hurt her will see truth
even if they do not she knows she free
her wish at a child is answered she no longer ask what she did to be hurt
she see that it was never hers to own
free for the cage of blaming self free to fly high

Awww pretty great poem🥹

You got me again. I couldn’t resist.
Here goes.
What is your greatest wish?
What do you want to tell the star?
Just speak from your heart!
What are your desires?
What do you request?
But does wishing really take us to the truth?
Is it how we become free?
I want God to show me
What He sees and has seen.
Then our minds will be renewed.

The beauty of a wish
Lives in its uncertainty
When one prays to flourish
With the sky as only testimony
When a star lights up her face in a halo
And then leaves the night sky without a hello
Hundreds of desires run through her mind
But only remains the truest kind
Then takes place the real promise
She shuts her eyes and makes her wish
To herself and the light lingering in her iris
Behind her lids, all doubts vanish
Her wish is sealed with an imaginary key
So strong yet so fragile it could break free
Fly past her lips and meet someone’s ear
A pledge broken and impossible to unhear
Fortunately it’s only a passing thought
Her eyes, unblinking, get back to the night sky
Scanning the darkness for the star she caught
But her eyes land on an emptiness she can’t belie
@FairyPeanut
Woohoo! Great
