What is the most important quality in a friend?

Loyalty, kindness and a good sense of humour

In my opinion it is loyalty. However I agree with other people's replies.

That they are honest. That they have the best intentions in being your friend, and aren't actually out to get you.

Acceptance. They can accept us no matter what. Through good days or bad days. They can accept when we're quiet and when we want to talk.

Compatability is key. Sometimes people have the best intentions but it doesn't read that way to you based on your perspectives, and vice versa. If you're on the same page then a lot of other good qualities will happen naturally.

Important quality in a friend is that a friend would never find a quality or qualities to be a friend with you no matter what how you are. A real friend will bring you back to the lane.

I don't think there is a single quality that is the most important. It has to be a balance of multi-different qualities that come together to show the true nature of the person.

Being able to have trust and confidence in your friend is one of the most important requirements of a strong relationship because true friendship means you are able to count on one another. Part of caring for a friend is honoring what they tell you, no matter the significance, with confidentiality and respect.
