What would you say to a former friend?
We all have ex-friends, whether people we've simply drifted apart from or those we've had a real falling out with. What would you like to tell that friend?
@Anomalia I have a friend who was my best friend for years and years together. We were friends ever since grade 1 right up to...lets say after school. We did so many things together and even imagined what it would be like being grown ups and having our families visit each other and us working together in hospitals as doctors and what not XD And even after school we went to the same college. But it was then that i realised, that after school things just didn't feel the way they did. My best friend and I started to drift. 2 years passed by and we didn't talk as often or hang out the way we used to in school. I'm in university now and so is she. The same university. I see her around. But it just doesn't feel...the way it used to feel.
So, if I was given the opportunity to say to her what i wanted to say I would tell her that people change, friendships change. We go through many things in life and maybe she was part of my schoolhood and most of my life for as long as ive been breathing. But sometimes, things don't turn out the way our little minds imagined it would.. That does not mean she does not have a place in my heart, in my memories. Things happen for a reason. I miss her though. But I'd tell her to keep her chin up and walk the rest of her life holding the past as memories.
You've become the person I knew you would become. A druggie who relies on the boyfriend and fails college. A druggie who cares more for drugs and popularity than you do the feelings of others. I'm so glad I left the "friendship" and I hope when you're not in a drugged up state, you realise that what you did to me was unacceptable.
@Anomalia I'd tell her that I'm not sure if anything she said was real. But most of the time spent with her was fun, and I wish we could have more of those times, minus the dishonesty. Some days, in my heart, I feel I've forgiven her, and other days the bitter reminders that come up make me wonder if I truly have. But I know I have a willingness to forgive her and I hope the ache continues to lessen, though it's been two years already. I would tell her I hope she's okay, and that I hope she's happy and doing well with her writing.
I'm glad I got rid of you, now I only need to get rid of my current friends, and that'll be really soon. Can't wait!
Sometimes the best thing you can say is nothing at all
@Anomalia
What would i say to my ex friends,hmmm I would like to thank you them for being apart of my life during the time they were because like it or not everything happens for a reason and i am very thank you i knew them. Whether it was a good or bad experience it thought alot and has contribute to me being who i am today. :D
A close friend of mine did a vanishing act when he got married (as ppl often do) Now he's divorced and paying Alimony. I'd like to ask him- "How'd that work out for you?"
Depends on the friend. Although there is one I've wanted to apologize to for a while now about how stupid I was in high school...and tell her how I'm an atheist now and I am supportive of her sexual orientation.
I miss you, but I know you'd pick your narcissitc friends over me.
I'd say, "I hate how much I miss you, given that you never once felt sorry for the emotional abuse you put me through."
