Eid Al Fitr Mubarak 2025

As-Salaam-Alaikum, dear friends!

Eid Mubarak to you all! May this blessed Eid ul-Fitr bring you and your loved ones joy, peace, and countless blessings. Another Ramadan has been completed in our lives, who are alive and concluded for those not among us.

I feel sad to share that the masses among us have lost or forgotten the true spirit of Islam or being a Muslim, i.e., Akhlaq (the practice of virtue, morality, and manners), which enables an individual to be Patient and Grateful, and Compassionate, the traits will stay with us long after, 

This Eid, I’m most looking forward to a different yet friendly version of Humanity by spreading kindness to those around me. Even if celebrations look different for everyone, the spirit of Eid is universal: love, generosity, and gratitude.

To those celebrating, what’s your favorite Eid tradition?

Where i live we usually like to make Kupat for eid, which is a traditional rice cake made by wrapping cooked rice in woven coconut leaves and boiling it till it's cooked, forming it into a diamond shape

Wishing every one who fasted and who celebrates Eid a happy Eid! 

And Thank you to anyone else who sent congratulations. 

I know that some people think that Allah is a harsh God and that Allah is always ready to punish us for wrong doing.... Yet I see Eid as evidence of a loving and Merciful God who wants people to celebrate, eat, drink and enjoy themselves after engaging in a month fasting etc for His sake. 

We are not asked to be always afraid of punishment or sad because we are not good enough.... But rather hopeful and have faith that Allah accepts from us and is pleased with us so long as we do what we are supposed to do. 

For those who are negliglent at times and fall into error Allah tells is that not to despair of his mercy... We only have to ask forgiveness, repent and put things right. 

And I guess Eid shows that Allah wishes us to have a balance in life... To have some time for pleasure, fun, family at times to balance the times of hard work. 

In fact after the trial, tribulations and problems and hard times life throws we are also told that after all of this there is the eternal reward of the here after to look forward to.... 

So we know that life can have ups and downs and negative things and hard times but we can always remain in hope of better things to come in the end and that what we do is not in vain

We dont cancel Eid because of suffer ing in the world as the suffer ing will come to an end and perhaps those suffer ing now will be celebrating and happy at a later time

So life is a balance and is in constant change... 

We ask Allah for the good of this life and the here after
