Reasons I Was Blocked
These are all reasons I was blocked by listeners. All of these listeners still are shown as 5 stars listeners currently:
When asked if I was lonely I said no. (chat topic = disability)
I was rude when I was asked "why haven't you seen a doctor?" I responded why they thought I haven't and actually I've been to many more than just 'a doctor'
I wouldn't give my age to someone who hadn't said anything supportive yet
I asked to not be misgendered.
Why are listeners allowed to block for these things? Why do listeners who do this remain as 5 star listeners where my feedback doesn't count? Why is there no accountability for what listeners say? How were these 4 chats counted in the stats about people helped and things like that?

@AffyAvo Listeners' initial training says:
Block users who you do not wish to hear from
I think that advice could be improved, but many of us have thought for a long time that many things in the listener training could be improved, and saying so in the forum has never had any effect
The ratings and stats are simply a mystery. I suspect no one knows how the system works. Even the person who coded the system might have forgotten how it works or left 7 Cups.
Underlying these kinds of problem I think there are deeper issues. It seems that no one is effectively in charge of listening at 7 Cups, and also that no one is effectively in charge of maintaining the software platform we use. And underlying these deeper issues there might very well be financial constraints.

I assume because it's easier to block than for them to spend time explaining or politely end the conversation. Sort of like modern day ghosting. Some people just don't want to be bothered I guess.
I relate to this. Sometimes listeners would also block me for nonsensical reasons too, for once I was blocked because I didnt want to give them my real name and location.
What Im starting to wonder is that, does 7 Cups ever take reviews seriously? If they do, do they give any sort of sanction or reprimands to listeners who break the guidelines and/or are unsympathetic in general? If they dont, then what do they do?
Its a very serious issue and it upsets me that it feels like its not taken seriously. :(
