Safety is what is safe to us weather is physical , emotionally depending on where the term is used usally safety can be a person, a thing, a place ect, this is somewhere you go when you feel certain types of emotions or in emotional distress .
★ Tell us about the tools and resources you have in your personal Safety Toolbox, both for online safety and for keeping yourself safe in the real world.

Tools I have is to name losses and what other mini losses occur to me , I have a safe person to go to if I feel down and talk openly about how I feel , I also try to use my worksheet on losses to reflect on what has just happened and try to make sense and regain feeling "emotionally stable" again.

What words do you associate with the term safety? Exit, control, love and trust

Tell us about the tools and resources you have in your personal Safety Toolbox, both for online safety and for keeping yourself safe in the real world. I must have the control of situation. I must be able to stop the situation and return back to my safe place. When it comes to online safety, I pick people carefully and if they're suspicious, I block them or just stop responding. In the real world, I am a woman so I'm just aware of the risks. I like to be informed

Not being at risk or putting myself at risk to other people as well.

Online: I have block buttons/ mute buttons, privacy settings set to requests only and only accepting requests if they are from people which i know.

Personal: I have a self soothe shelf which has fidget toys, hand cream, a teddy bear, then i also have my phone in case of emergencies and then I have also got my own self defence through the karate I do.

Secure, private, respected, valued, understood, supported.

Online-Passsword vault, different passwords, careful about sharing pics, read texts/emails multiple times before sending, flag inappropriate posts and careful about phone use outside of home WiFi.

In real life- lock doors everywhere, keep keys in hand for defense moves, keep aware of surroundings, NextDoor app to know about crime in area, make sure I walk with someone when possible, walk on busy roads, keep phone concealed on public transportation, be aware of exit areas and structural places to duck for cover, and only meet strangers in public spaces.

Online and offline safety toolbox:

Online- I do not give my personal information to people I do not know. I do not post anything I wouldnt want broadcasted all over the internet. If I'm uncomfortable with a conversation I politely try to change the topic if that doesn't work I block and report

​Real life- Always buckle up, Don't swim without someone present (I'm epileptic)
