- I have a great boss who has my back on any crisis related things concerning my boss

- Car insurance and coverage for my home

- Online well I just do not give out my personal things

- I do not worry of being sexual abused online or off

- I have good friends in my life who make sure I'm on top of these things

- Wifi connections in my home are secured as I have 2 teens

Online, I try to to get TOO to involved. I remember not to offer advice and encourage them to come up with their own solutions. In real life, I use a flashlight, do not travel alone and if I have to do things alone I try to do it during the day. I also make sure someone knows where I am going.

Online Safety: Keeping boundaries, not clicking spam/ads, not sharing personal/contact information, using strong passwords, using incognito tab, not connecting to public WiFis, clearing browser history/cache, not engaging in cybercrime or cyberbullying

Keep myself safe in the real world: Having my parents' contact numbers in speed dials, keeping a copy of emergency hotlines, having a GO bag where first aid and survival kits are stored in case of emergency, not entertaining unknown people who knock on our doors when parents aren't around, securing door locks when going on a trip or when sleeping,

For me safety is familiarity and openness, whether that's a place, item or people. In my safety toolbox I have my friends and family because they are there to support me both online and in person when I need them. In my box I also know that I have the ability to support my friends, family and others when they need it as well, which I have in my box because safety isn't just a one way thing to me, but building the trust to feel safe with others too.

In gerenal, I observe more than I interact, keep sensitive information to myself, don't share my contact information with people I don't know. On 7 Cups, these efforts are multiplied by 10.

Software tools that keep my pc safe from virus and malware etc. I use my phone to let people know where I am at all times. Letting people know if I am going out and where and informing them when I arrive. (stops everyone worrying lol)

I would associate comfort and protection with safety! Its so important to stay safe both on the internet and out in the real world, some of the tools i use are:

not giving out my personal information unless i very much trust the person im giving it to, making sure if im going to a new area, i know my way home and people know where im going, or better yet taking some friends along; not accepting drinks or food from strangers (particularly at parties)
