Hello everyone. I hope I get support not hate.

I'm only 31 and I had to get all my teeth extracted it's really doing a number on my self love and care my self esteem is low as can be right now. I hate being in public now because I cant talk clearly I'm embarrassed. I'm really hating my life rn. I'm supposed to get dentures and that doesn't help because I'm only 31 years old. I feel I'm too young for this to happen. But the reason is I didn't take care of my teeth when I was a kid. I had perfect teeth. I'm so disappoi anywaynted in myself. I feel like a failure at life right now. I understand it's better for my health cu I had Alot of infection and doc told me I could get sepsis and die. But this really sucks. Wednesday this week makes 1 week of no teeth. And I'm beyond depressed. It's like I can't eat I can't talk. I can't feel normal. I just want to hide at home all day every day. Tomorrow will be my first day back at work. And I'm not looking forward to it. Ik my co workers won't judge but I don't even want to talk. Anyway thanks for any support or advice. I feel my quality of life has dropped significantly.

***UPDATE***

This is a good update. I got my dentures today. And turns out that there were still roots from one tooth in the back of my mouth that they had to pull. Also they had to do some filing because I had some bone spurs. So I was numb but even after the numbness wore off my teeth looked and felt amazing. I just can't recognize myself. I turned the mirror to me and sang the whole way home trying to get used to talking in them and I think I'm doing good so far I was worried about the filing. But I was so numb I have to go back in 2 weeks just to make sure everything's sitting right. But so far so good. I was actually already getting used to them being in. And was able to eat of course it feels different and is weird but it's going to take some getting used to but I'm loving my new look. Just got to get used to that being me LOL anyway I want to thank every single one of you who replied to this thread for your support and everything thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I will continue to update sorry I haven't been on here much

@assistedcrazyperson I feel your pain, my family was cursed w horrible enamel from birth most of my uncles had dentures by 18y old and im now 25 and mine are finally on their way out and its a very almost disgust feeling seeing mine, i tried religiously taking care of mine because i knew what was to come even had dentists trying to prevent it only for it to still prevail so here i am in what i feel to be my prime only to have that light blown out by what i feel to be the most unappealing smile on this side of the states so even though i know the feeling it leaves you don’t feel it alone im right there with you 💯
