ok but genuinely why should i even try to love myself?? i've been trying to accept myself for years, and people still encourage me to keep trying. trying what exactly? i feel like i have tried everything to even acknowledge myself of who i am. it's making me confused, as if i tripped over my pwn shoelaces i hate itttt what's the point of accepting myself if no one will? i had support, the confidence but it faded away as i kept trying. i don't even see a point of being bothered about it atp

@quietCucumber550 simple question, why not? Your worth isn't determined by other. Why yourself doesn't deserve your love and care? 🫶🏼 ☺️ What did it did wrong?

For me, it's better to trash myself than deal with the fact everyone in my real life, including family, is horrible. It gets weight off at cost of being less confident, more anxious, more prone to irritability, etc.

What do you think about that?

ephemeral8997x maybe loving yourself creates feelings that can be heavier, yes but it's also more honest towards you and honesty in a long term way, tends to be healthier than self-erasure. Also you said "it gets weight off" but friend, in reality it's just removing weight to just shifting it from "them" to "me" 😞 🫶🏼  SO your nervous system still carries it. in reality you're not resolving any issues by doing that in fact you're creating more stress and also it's pricey right? less confidence, more anxiety, more irritability. When you turn the anger into your own self, it doesn’t disappear it's just changes shape and becomes a time bomb 💣

It may be different with everyone, but when I finally really found self-care and self-love...... it was like a light was turned on.  It was freedom from being fake and trying to appease everyone.   I also found people responded to me differently.  I never spent time worried about if others accepted or liked me. I had more people noticed me and want to be friends or more.

Sometimes before I told myself, "yeah yeah, I love myself, where is the change." ..  It was only when I reached that point where it is ......... OK I get it.

It sounds like you’ve been trying for a long time and it’s really exhausting and confusing to keep putting in effort without feeling accepted or seeing results. Anyone in your position would feel hurt and discouraged. I want you to know your feelings are valid, and you deserve acceptance, understanding, and support, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

These kind of experience can derial you from your purpose,it's better to focus on rebuilding  your self-esteem, self-concept and self-worth. When you've fully worked earnestly on yourself you'll attract the right people into your life, people who understand your value. People will always treat you based on how they see you in their minds so why give up your control to people who have debilitating ideologies about life. Set the standard and they'll learn to follow. You're conviction is your ability and strength is all that matters.
