Maybe it's the accountant coming out of me (perish the thought) but any concerns/thoughts on the month-to-month downward trend in people taking up the active listening and verified listener options from August?
@Roadie I put the numbers together and calculated the percent change on each figure from August - November. Might make it easier to see.
It's been a while since I took stats so let me know if I made any mistakes or did the calculations wrong.
Even with this information though, I can't tell if it is statistically significant because I don't have a sample size or a population size.
For the % of positive reviews, I just put the change in rather than the percent change. Didn't seem to make sense to do that.

I wasn't contesting the numbers.. the numbers are all good :) I was just wondering whether there were any thoughts around the drop in numbers of people going through the active listener and verified listener programmes :)

I wonder if November being closer to final exams and project due dates could affect participation.
I don't have any insight on AL1&2 :\
I do know that VL can depend on aggressive outreach vs passive applying for the badge. I've personally had more people reach out to me personally for the VL badge recently, which is in contradiction with the numbers.
At the same time, when I was still on summer break from school, I would aggressively reach out to people by hounding the Browse Listeners list and sending invites to everyone who was around 50 chats (because I'm a VL fiend :p) and a few of us doing like 30 chats a month can easily boost those numbers.
Hm, it would be better to see that 90%+ of written reviews are positive. 7 Cups goals?
