What will cups be like when it's more or less gone?
Plenty of people trauma dump on here, get support, ect, but I think it's slowing down. Not as many people, especially in the group chats. It would be sad to wander here either as a newbie or coming back, and seeing that no one has been active in a while, or just reading through everything... crazy to think about lol
@LonleyCheese I agree that there are some signs it's slowing down. But maybe there will be new ideas that create different kinds of activity in the future.
I think the parts that slow down too much will be removed, so you will never be able to come back and see no activity. I agree, it would be too sad. This is what happened in the past to our wiki, for example, and our startup support community.

I agree, it seems to be starting to become forgotten/slowing down. It needs a little more attention from the people running it a bit more, we almost never see them now. However, if the stats are correct, there are about 60,000 weekly chats taking place, so it may be more active than it appears. There is nearly always chat requests too.
@LonleyCheese The evolution of businesses is interesting indeed. I used to think I didn't feel much emotional tie to a business, but because they are born, live and die, somewhat like humans, it's difficult to not be attached to certain points in the process. One may feel nostalgia for certain parts or incidences one remembers, for instance, though life moves on, decisions are made, some or many outside of our control. I hope you can find some solace here still. I know I have.
@LonleyCheese
That is so interesting and sad to think about, and I myself have seen it.
When I joined the site as a listener when the pandemic was still going strong, there was a lot of commotion everywhere. Now there is less, and chat groups are abandoned for hours on end.
All in all, I hope this site won't disappear, it helped so many people, listeners and members alike, during its 9 years of existence. If some aspects will die out, I pray it will reborn in some manner. This might be an aftermath of the pandemic when people are going on with their lives and are less in need for a mental health support online platform.
Also, @VioletVeritas raised a very good point about businesses.
Nooooo 😱 I don't want cups to be gone! I like it here 🙂
@LonleyCheese Hi! I have moved this thread to the Site Feedback section as I feel you will get more feedback and replies there. I have also tagged admin for you.

Listening - One Step At A Time!
@LonleyCheese I think alot of times here it's alittle like the tides and it ebbs and flows. It quiets down for awhile but then it picks back up. Alot of people seem to be busy getting back to their pre- holiday routines of work and school. But yeah alot of times people join up and get things off their minds and then might never come back
@LonleyCheese
Hi Cheese,
As many have mentioned, the holidays breaks are coming to an end, so many are trying to get back into the rhyme of activity again. Activity is important aspect of any community, and we are looking at additional ways to improve activity within the community. Including new projects and improving on the one's that we have currently as well.
