Help Us Build the 7 Cups Local Support Directory!
Hi, everyone! We have been working on building out our new local support system as a way to bridge online care with offline care.
Many people come to 7 Cups looking for help on the ground - they might need access to a food pantry, a shelter, a therapist, a treatment center, or a faith organization. We often make referrals to these places, but we can now do it right from our platform!
If you search 7cups.com/local by your area, you’ll see that we have the beginnings of a parallel mental health system for each country (and many states in the US). We are highlighting the number of people we’ve helped, the number of listeners, and the top 50 mental health issues for each state or country. We hope that these pages become hubs for local support resources and we'd like to invite you to help by submitting links to resources to expand our global reach.

@Heather225 @GlenM Is there a way that the local search directory can be filtered by radius? There's so many different zip codes in my area. I can live in one zone, and literally down the street will be a different zip code than mine.
I ask this because if I search for a resource in a certain area and nothing is in that specific zip code, it pops up a message saying... "We were unable to locate any matches in this area. Try broadening your search area or reducing filters."
In order to broaden my search, I would have to go on Google and search and get the other zip codes. That requires extra work versus if there was a way to pop up results for shelters, food pantries, etc in my area say within a 15-20 mile radius. I have no idea if it's possible, but just something for y'all to consider!
Regardless, I still filled the form submitting the address of a local homeless shelter in my area that did not pop up when I searched a specific zip code. Hopefully, it makes it into your directory, because I know first hand the work and all the good this organization does to help people in need.
Anyway, I don't want to to be long here. Just wanted to say good job and I think this is wonderful. It's a sure way to help even more people. Way to go and thank you and everyone else for all the hardwork! ♡☆

The form does not include LGBTQ+/MOGII. Any wayto add this option to the form?

We're happy to include LGBTQ+/MOGII options! The current buckets are Treatment Center, Housing Assistance, Food Pantries & Support, Churches & Faith Based Support
We can always add more buckets. If there's LGBTQ+/MOGII resources that don't fit within any of the 4 existing buckets, let me know and I will update the buckets list.

Omg, my mind blows when I read about this, today by reading this, I actually believed that likes of you on cups, cares. Because I thought some people here are out money (therapists) or they're here for their own benefits.
I'm still amazed, through there was only 2 listeners from my country, but I didn't even expect cups support my people.
Thank you heather and 7 cups staff for all the good you have done till this moment.
May all the support you have offered come back to you as beautiful things in your life. This post inspired me to help others and improve.

Hi, my mental health org just started online treatment, maybe they're interested in joining 7cups here?
I was going to add some info, but it requires signing into Google to get to the form. Sorry but no...Google is the Big Brother of the corporate world.
