Wounded Healer: Kayla's Story
Hello everyone!
Kayla has been a listener on 7 Cups for over 10 years. She is a shining example of what it means to be a wounded healer. I'm a wounded healer and many of you are as well.
Here is the definition: A wounded healer is someone who has experienced significant pain or trauma in their own life, but uses that experience to help others who are also suffering. The idea is that their personal struggles give them a deeper understanding and empathy for those they serve.
My son met Kayla and did the interview and created the video. I hope you find it meaningful. I would love to hear your thoughts and reactions.

Words can't describe how incredibly moved I am. I'm just floored by the power of these stories. Kayla's story, and those whose lives have been changed by her, are testaments to the need for 7 Cups and the strength of our community. Kayla, thank you for your bravery and your authenticity. This video embodies the spirit of 7 Cups, and your legacy, your message of resilience and hope, will save lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting yourself forth and showing the world what a wounded healer can do.

Happy 10 years Kayla you are an inspiration for a newbie like us 😊
@KaylaBella Your story is very inspiring and filled with hope. Thank you for sharing it with us and for all the work you have done on 7 Cups. It is people like you that make healing and resilience possible, out of peer support and modeling compassion. I appreciate you and wish you the best 💖

The community is eternally grateful for you. The conception of this idea, the execution and the maintenance take immense amount of strength and courage. We have nothing but respect for you. You've protected us when we trembled. You gave us a safe space when we were at our lowest. And you gave us a medium to give back. 7 Cups has healed millions and it will continue to. It couldn't have been possible without your will and belief in all of us.
@KaylaBella, congratulations on 10 years with 7 Cups. I've known you for a few years and I've always admired you for the person you are. You're smart, kind and a phenomenal human being who isn't afraid to be herself. Someone who doesn't shy away from getting vulnerable enough to let others learn from her experiences. This video gives an enlightening message to the members and listeners alike. We are a team. Together, we can overcome the most insurmountable challenges.
@trueconfidant123 thank you for these kind words. I have poured a lot into our community. And you all have poured much more back into me. One thing I love about us - we have abundance! There is more than enough to go around. I deeply respect all of you as well.
We all start at different places in life. Some of us way back, others closer to the starting line. And we all work hard to support one another and move forward. It is a beautiful thing to see and to be a part of.
I'm very glad you liked the video!
@GlenM Happy tenth anniversary Kayla! This video helped me a lot.
