Ramadan Mubarak
Hi everyone & As-salamu alaykum (Peace be upon you). A while ago @GlenM made a post acknowledging that we are a diverse community with a variety of celebrations/important days. @Tazzie has been doing a good of ensuring we celebrate/acknowledge the different celebrations through either forum events or posts. In an attempt to continue coming together and celebrating the important days/festivities, I wanted to take a few minutes to pin down a post to acknowledge and celebrate the start of the Muslim holy month, Ramadan. Tomorrow and in some days, the day after tomorrow the month will begin.
It is the month of fasting where Muslims fast for a month, focusing on their religion and their connection with God. We have a very diverse community and therefore we have Muslims among us! Many of whom will be fasting. You can read more here.
You can be supportive by doing the following:
✰ Be sparing in food/drinks talk in public rooms (recommended, not required)
✰ We use a lot of ice-breakers in our community (forums/rooms). You can choose to avoid food/drink-related activities/ice-breakers. (recommended, not required)
✰ Leaders, be mindful of the workload of your team members and offer support if they need a break
✰ Wishing Ramadan Mubarak
Wishing Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims of our community! We hope that you find peace and joy in this blessed month.
Feel free to answer one or all of the following questions.

answering the questions:
* I don't have too many plans for this month other than cups I would normally visit my relatives or go on a trip during eid but my current situation doesn't allow me to do so so I will be here cupsing and doing school work as well as doing but I will celebrate with my family have Iftar together and all that.
* The month of Ramadan means a chance to reflect, make self-Improvement and get closer to Allah it is a time for me to celebrate with the people that matter to me <3 <3

I am not a Muslim but I have a lot of friends who are. As a result, I call to check in on some of them at least once a day and send fruit baskets to the ones that are close.

✰ What does the month mean to you?
This month is extremely important, and it is a time to create a stronger connection with God, as well as to practice more self-control, self-discipline, control, and compassion. Ramadan is one month where Muslims from all around the world are fasting and praying, and therefore allows me to feel more closer and united with my fellow Muslims.

Ramadan Mubarak to every Muslim! May this month being you lots of peace and happiness!
