Censor filter reactions!

This week I've had two people inadvertantly trip the dilligently on-guard censor filter with the following reactions.

The first person had suddenly said to me "I'm sorry!".

I was perplexed for a bit as to why was that. He/she said that apparently something wrong/bad was said here, referrring to the text paragraph that had suddenly appeared, and thinking that I had wrote it too.

The second person, upon seeing the text paragraph, became immediately angered, now thinking that the chat was not 100% private. He/she then stated there was loss of confidence using the site now. I assured him/her that it indeed was 100% private. :)

I don't see the point of the censor in 1-1s. People are able to say some pretty horrible things that the censor doesn't catch and it pops up on innocent things.

Oh gosh, I remember the first time they worked on the censor and like literally everything was censored and being sent in for review. They've since fixed it for the most part; I do think a lot of the things they censor is worth censoring, but there are some strange things that don't make sense.

I think they should add a "here's the words that were censored" list on the message, so the person knows what to edit. <3

It would help if the phrase censor worked like the word censor in group chats. A very long message can be lost because of 3-5 words strung together. It would also give less of the feeling that someone else is watching.

Yeah the censors can be pretty annoying. They don't even look at the context. Why should someone be censored in a 1-1 where theyre there to vent and get it all out? When they are censored, they can't be honest!

I've only triggered it once, in a chat with another listener about a post in the forums. So we had the strange situation of a topic that we could discuss freely in the forum but not in a 1-to-1 chat between listeners. I've often had chats about topics that many humans would find triggering but the censor ignored.

Like @AffyAvo I don't see the point of it.
