Heya! I'm so excited to see this take place! Woot woot <3
Yayy! This is great! I would love to attend some of these!!!
Tagging @Kate
ty for the tag but im on plenty of support teams now and being a STL of my own im pretty busy
@CaringBrit
Hey there! Out of curiosity which teams are you on? Your profile lists at least five different teams you
@BeeLeigh Anxiety Support (STL ) Events team monthly DJin , Adult listener events team , Compassion corner both teen team and adults , Disability both adults and teen team , Teen Trauma team , peer support buddy ( lead ps discussions weekly , mod buddy, VL PA Agent , Safety patrol team, TOZ forum supporter, I'm on various ones basically my bio has everything I do from group support to forums to verifying listeners to being in leadership to answer approvals etc
@CaringBrit
1. Anxiety Support
2. Events Team
3. Adult Listener Events
4. Compassion Corner Teens
5. Compassion Corner Adults
6. Disability Adults
7. Disability Teen
8. Teen Trauma
9. Peer Support Buddy (lead ps discussions weekly)
10. Mod Buddy
11. VL PA Agent
12. Safety Patrol Team
13. TOZ Forum Supporter
Did I break that up correctly? So, youre on 13 different teams? Is that correct?
@Anomalia
@BeeLeigh yes their are a few others but their a lil minor chat support etc i need to re organize my bio im thinking about coding buttons in with each team im on . on each one seperately but im not much of a coder so im trying to figure it out how t incorprorate it into my current coding
all teams are on my bio though
@CaringBrit @Laura @Kate @MonBon @Anomalia
Wow! That must be a lot of hard work to keep up with all those teams you're on! Did the rule change to allow for that? I thought we weren't allowed to be on teams for more than 3 subcommunities for our own protection and well being, and that of our members as well. I don't know how you can keep up with all the members you must have to help out being in that many communities! That sounds so stressful! I hope you can find some time for yourself in all that!
@BeeLeigh easy I schedule everything each thing gets my equal undivided attention and I still get plenty of time to self-care daily too and the weekend is my big block for self-care all my discussions are spaced out and before the rule change I was already on more than 3 SCs I only do what I can handle im stress free in all my roles the group support/forum ones to the listener- listener roles etc
I do 1 discussion per day only Sunday doesn't have one unless I DJ which is once a month for both event teams and these are done as part of my self-care + fun for the members who attend
@BeeLeigh some of the teams you listed were listener ones and arent SC related im on 3 forum teams and the group support i was already on before the change and was approved by kate
@BeeLeigh
1. Anxiety Support well im STL in this one so its a given
2. Events Team ( this was approved for my DJin events i host was too give me a platform the STL + Kate approved this )
3. Adult Listener Events (( not SC related)
4. Compassion Corner Teens Compassion Corner Adults (( these are the same team just lead for both sides as im a Jr CM also )
6. Disability Adults . Disability Teen (( these are the same team just lead for both sides as im a Jr CM also )
8. Teen Trauma (was on support plus addictions but switched to teen trauma kate approved the switch )
9. Peer Support Buddy (lead ps discussions weekly) (( not SC related its a listener role that experienced peer supporters can apply for )
10. Mod Buddy (( not SC related again experienced mods go for this role if they choose its not a new team as im already a mod just a new responsibility to help new mods )
11. VL PA Agent (( not SC related its to verify listeners to get verified listener badge but an extra duty to see how the team are doing)
12. Safety Patrol Team (( doesnt count as SC related because anyone was accepted i only do bio searches if i was to be listed i would be under feed team for them ))
13. TOZ Forum Supporter ( this is 1 of 3 forum topics im under my other 2 are disability and A&G ))
3 SCs did not mean all your group support topics had to match your forum you could have 3 forum areas of interest and 3 totally unrelated group support topics i chose 2 of my forum ones to match the group side as i was very active in those areas and since i lead 3 teen sessions i felt my 3rd forum topic should be TOZ also before the change i did have depression team so would have had more group support but moment i became STL on anxiety i dropped it on my own.
not sure what you hope to achieve by tagging people but all the roles i do have been approved group support approved by kate and forum team topics approved by mon n ano since i only do 3 forum catagories as for the listener roles none of them affects the SC rule
if you feel i do too much ty for the concern but i dont i know my capability my limit and as said above they have been approved

@BeeLeigh
Hey. I was going to privately message you until I realize that you had your PMs disabled! Either way, I edited your post out as it is not appropriate to engage in such behavior on the forms. I understand your concern but if you are worried about the caseload of a member of this community or concerned about someones behavior, we prefer you message them privately than make it a public scene, or if it needs, you can PM @Kate @Anomalia or @Monbon if you're concerned someone is too involved. I have also seen your other replies to this thread and would appreciate if you stop engaging in this thread as theres a lot of conflict here from what I have understood and it is better handled privately. Please do take care!
@SouthernFlame
I showed her posts from other threads. Shes the one who brought up her caseload. My post was neither disrespectful nor unprofessional. I will be requesting my post be reinstated.
And what did Brit say in the comment that mentioned me? It was deleted before I could see it.
Have a good day, and please refrain from ever contacting me again, and do not delete my posts. I was silenced for far too long, and I will not be again over something this important.
[edited by Anomalia to combine posts into one]
@BeeLeigh if i could pm you Bee i would tell you what it said
@CaringBrit
Due to prior harassment that went ignored despite my multiple attempts to resolve it, from a still well respected leader on this site, I have my PMs disabled, and I prefer all contact to be public.
@BeeLeigh ah ok sorry you got harassed bee its understandable i just simply said you respectfully and professionally asked me what teams i was on so i responded
as for the workload, I don't have an issue with it i learnt from burning out 2016 what is too much for me its why when i became STL depression team was dropped i re-evaluate constantly
@CaringBrit
Thank you for reposting. I only even asked because youd said how many teams youre on and how busy you are. Thats why I put out of curiosity, because it really was. Anyway. Have a good night/morning/afternoon!
@BeeLeigh your welcome
@MonBon @Anomalia
Please reinstate my post. It was not disrespectful, merely addressing an issue that CaringBrit herself brought up, ie her caseload. Thank you.
@BeeLeigh @SouthernFlame if you read up flame bee had respectfully and professionally asked me what teams I was on so I gave the same courtesy and answered them and bee I don't have any issue with the stuff I do here I love every minute I am passionate in everything I do I do re-evaluate on my own whether I need to drop something and right now I don't need too
reason I've learnt to re-evaluate on my own was I learnt the hard way in 2016 I burned out went on a 9 month break I have a great schedule and I don't do a lot each day at all lots of Self-care what might seem like a huge load too many really isn't because I manage it well I've been managing this schedule since I returned in March 2017 and I know when its time for self-care its a lesson I've learnt since being here
however, if you are concerned I do thank you for that but no need to be I'm a huge gamer so I'm always gaming as part of my self-care then their movie time and other things I do
@BeeLeigh there you go my original post was also reinstated along with yours i had pmed them as was super confused why your post was edited when you did nothing wrong but be professional
@Anomalia ty for reinstating them
Hi just to let you know a whole new series of DID sessions will be shortly be running from the Trauma Sub community for teens and for adults which are being written by myself and canvas and cover many issues specific to those with dissociative disorders and DID and which look at many aspects of life for those with DID and you may find this useful if you would like to come along to these sessions when they begin
We should be due to start these very soon
@Rain45 Are the teen sessions done through teen trauma support team with AnyaS?
@fluffyUnicorns84
Theyre actually done through the Traumatic Experiences Community, where we have both an adult team and a teen team who have completed appropriate trainings and where appropriate safeguards are in place to protect those running the discussions and those participating.
Are the posts by @Rain45 and @agreeableKite4304 invisible? Or is this what 7 cups now represents? Ignoring other teams and just doing whatever you choose?
Correct me if Im wrong, but arent we here for the benefit of members? In which case surely there should be some coordination of the DID offering? Im really confused at whats going on here.
By the way, if anyones in need of parenting support, why not head on over to the trauma community? Im thinking of holding some discussions there. Not for any good reason. Just acting on a whim, and hoping I may earn myself a badge.
@DeborahUK
I appreciate your concern, @MissMeghan and @emsworld have approved of me hosting these discussions just a little headsup.
@DeborahUK
I would appreciate it if you didn't mock the work of a teen listener who worked hard to fill a void they saw in our community. Instead of mocking them why don't you try reaching out to them and making them feel welcome instead of degrading their work and our teen community, just sayin
@summertimeSamness [edited by Anomalia for unsupportive content] i cant wait for teens to have these sessions that are missing
@summertimeSamness
No one is mocking anyone. If you
@DeborahUK I actually think offering trauma support session on parents with trauma is really good topic and one trauma should provide excellent idea. Im sure parenting subcommunity would love that you want to support parents too, and reach more people. @mistymagic
@fluffyUnicorns84
Only if they name me as discussion leader on their leadership team though
@DeborahUK But you would need the modding abilities in trauma not parenting so that would not give you the tools you would need :).
@fluffyUnicorns84
I think you may have just underlined my original concern fluffy.
@DeborahUK Sorry could you outline your original concern? - To host a discussion you need to be able to moderate the room and right now the moderator abilities are given through the leaderboard once the support team training is given ( i realise the issue raised about not doing orginal training is still ongoing, however right now we believe that the training wrote for teen moderators is sufficent and ensures safety needed) as with every other support team. Without being listed they would not be able to moderate and lead the session. <3.
@fluffyUnicorns84
Curious how youre showing an interest in my original concern now, whereas when it first appeared you were quick to have it censored.
Frankky Im tired of this. Ive sought to remain professional and courteous, but simple questions have been shut down in a barrage of censorship and calls of bullying and slander. Asking a question is neither bullying nor slanderous, and Im sick to the back teeth of suggestions it is.
Hey @Rain45 @agreeablekite304 and @DeborahUK, I can see there has been some confusion and it is correct that someone has been accepted to host DID sessions for Teen Support. I am not sure what is happening with Adult Support, but in teen support we had DID sessions written and under Support Plus for a while (before I became team lead) if there has been talk about them moving I have not been involved in this and was unaware. We have not had support session leaders for DID however, which is why they made this post to make people aware of the team and how they are able to join. As far as I'm aware Teen Trauma does not cover this, but if Anya has a problem/concern with these sessions being run or she notices an overlap, of course we can reconsider and talk about steps to go from here. Also to clarify, we are not trying to take away from any community, simply filling a space that hasn't been filled yet and since we already have the resources, providing support to those in need. Once again, if Anya spots anything overlapping with Trauma we are always happy to reconsider the best way forward! I appreciate you letting us know, and I'm interested on finding out more about this decision and when it took place. Please feel free to PM Meghan or I so we can discuss futher. Although, I will let you know now - my pms will be delayed as I am on vacation right now and I am doing minimal on this site for the duration, so for urgent replies please message Meghan. (Also, reason why theres been a delay in response is simply because I did not see this until just now when I was tagged - and assume Meghan has also only just seen this
)
@emsworld from what teen trauma have for trauma sessions theirs no overlap on our end
Hey friends! Yep... Just seeing all this
Guess i'm a little late to the party.... I understand theres alot going on here, and has been alot in the past few days... I'd like to ask If anyone has any concerns to message me at the moment as Em stated, and I believe she summed everything up perfectly in her response above ^^! Lets remember to keep 7 Cups a supportive place and get any misconceptions or questions cleared up by the Support+ leaders please, Have a nice day guys
[edited by Anomalia for unsupportive content] if you saw this thread and were unhappy with it why didn't the trauma leaders pm support team leaders and kate privately. why do they keep attacking teen leaders publicly and putting us down for trying to bring support to members on the teen side?
@summertimeSamness hopefully its dealt with as i agree [edited by Anomalia for unsupportive content] bullying isnt in the 7cups ethos we support ALL volunteers /members here not drag them down
@summertimeSamness
For the record, we tried privately. We were ignored (as is still happening), and denied a meeting multiple times. Our questions went unanswered, until confidentiality was broken when Laura posted the details of a private email that had been sent explicitly to Trauma Leadership. The problem here is not us, but those above us. We have simply been trying to resolve this issue.
@AnyaS @Kate @Laura
Hey there! Thank you for tagging me on this @summertimeSamness
I have been on break for about 2 weeks and still have another week left, however I just wanted to reply here and reiterate what @emsworld mentioned!
Trauma and DID have always been two seperate topics under Support Plus. Any teen who chooses to lead sessions for Support Plus could choose to lead Trauma Sessions or DID Sessions or any other topic that falls under Support Plus.
The only thing that has changed recently is that teen leaders have come forward and have offered to take the lead with these topics and get them up and running and more active, so that our teens can feel more supported. However, they have always existed and they have always been separate from the Trauma Subcommunity, since they are under the Teen Support Plus.
In no way do we mean to be overstepping anyone's toes or taking away any support, in fact we wish the complete opposite, which is to increase the support for our members. When we created the Teen Trauma Team, we did consider adding in DID into our sessions, however we decided that since it is a big topic, we would like to leave it separate so that it could be covered more thoroughly in their own sessions. So there is no problem with them taking the lead with those sessions and it is very much encouraged, you have my full support!
I understand that the training for the Trauma Subcommunity may be different than the one that I have developed with @Kate, however that does not mean that the training we created is wrong or harmful to the teen community in any way! We got plenty of opinions and helping hands in creating the training and we did a lot of research to ensure that the information provided on it is correct and most helpful to our session leaders. If the Trauma Subcommunity would like to have a look at it and offer their opinion on any additions or changes that could be made, I am more than happy to have that extra set of hands to make sure that we are offering the best support possible and so that our leaders feel comfortable and prepared during their sessions.
As for how the teams are run, the teen support teams and the adult support teams are two separate things that are run separately, as many people have mentioned previously. The way the Adult Trauma Team and the Teen Trauma Team run, may differ in process however we have made enlightened decisions and have taken into consideration what we feel would be best for our teen team. If you have any feedback on this, you may PM me privately and we can discuss your concerns in a professional manner. You may also PM @Kate for more information on this.
In terms of feedback, we do have a form for our sessions where I collect feedback from the community and make according changes to the team. If you have gotten any feedback or see anyone leaving feedback about the Teen Trauma Team, please have them send it my way or fill out the form after the session so that I can be sure to look into it. It will not be overlooked!
I have not gone into too much detail with this reply since I am still on break, but I am happy to discuss this further in a professional way, once I am back from my break, my PMs are always open!
Thank you for your continued support! In the end, we all want the same thing, which is to provide the best support possible to our members! I appreciate everyone's opinions and views, as we can all come together and work together, but let us remember to discuss this in a professional and respectful manner.
@AnyaS
@emsworld
Thank you both for your thoughtful and informative replies. This helps in trying to address what appears currently to be an overlap in output, and finally opens up some communication about it.
For the remainder of people on this thread who appear to see any question as some outright threat, why are you so fearful? Why try and shut down any discussion with allegations of bullying and slander? This isnt some dictatorship. Perhaps try and be a little less thin skinned about things, and see that debate and discussion should enhance whats delivered, not undermine it.
