Say you have an approximate budget of $500 dollars a month to spend on 7 Cups to recognize and support its volunteers.

@SoulfullyAButterfly Yes, I'd love to know this too! I was one of the first leaders of the month back in September and I never got my certificate. It's not a huge deal or anything, I'd just really like to have it to commemorate the experience :)

Oh you mean the clicky clan? Im just an ordinary listener so this wont affect me and my work isent recognised sorry.

Yep, it's just going to be the cliques that get nominated. I used to put in a lot of my time into this place as a mentor, part of the relationship forum team, the verified listener team and welcome team. Now I don't have the time to do all of that, I'm now just another listener again, it's like nothing I did previously mattered or was recognised, by anyone.
@SilentSerenityy sometimes i spend all day and night on here helping people. Plus my regular users. Which is my choice i know. Ive found i dont have enough cheers to be anything else. Because its all about cheers apparantly. Wow you done some amazing work here you put in lots of effort, and gave lots of your personal time. I appreciate it. And im sure you are a great listener.

Thank-you! Well done for all the work you've done here too. :) Of course, I don't do it for the recognition, but to see people who were doing the same thing as me, sometimes for less time, get recognition was a bit of a bummer. It seemed listeners who made the most friends got the most praise and recognition.
I feel like long term support listeners and those who are involved in teams or are leaders are the most appreciated, as well as those who have more time to be here and invest in developing friendships with others here. There seem to be quite a few events that are closed off to others and only available to those in teams. It just excludes everyone else in my opinion.
Is there not a 'listener of the month' award? To celebrate the volunteers who are doing the main task of helping people and taking chats!
@SilentSerenityy there should be! all of a sudden after i posted this, i had a email from the appreciation team weird that. Lol. Anyway i suppose ill be blocked for speaking the truth.

I'm not exactly competing either, just weird to have been here several years but never get recognized while others who have been here months do. It just feels like a popularity contest where people who are friends nominate each other.

I think you should give it to someone for whom that can make a difference and change their life , need not be here or anywhere but give it to someone who really needs it. Thats the right thing to do.
Usually people who come here are blessed enough to have a device and I don't think they are that needy honestly , so if you want to donate or do a charity give it to someone who actually needs the money and i am sure if you look around you will find them.
I would give like $5 to the volenteers, because they're the base of a lot of things. if I had extra left over, I'd make some sort of contest.

Hi Heather, I up-voted your response, but I would down-vote the actual process to vote here. I do not want to provide my personal email password to get into Google in order to fill in the survey. Why would that be a requirement for any survey connected to 7cups, anyway? I say I'd down-vote it because the link still comes up with the survey-blank and the request for enter password. How is this different? Sorry to sound so glum :\ Platy @Heather225 @Jill7cups @CuriousKate @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn (Yet again, I don't know who of the admin to address the bigger concern here.)
