July 24: New Chat Application - Only on The App & Still Beta
Hello 7 Cups App Users!
This weekend we are going to launch a fancy new feature! But, this feature is still in beta & we need your help to test it. It will be available ONLY on the app! Everyone is welcome to give it a whirl. Here is how it will work!
What will this feature do?
This feature will allow you navigate between varying conversations and chatrooms much faster. It will give you the ability to easily have more than one conversation going at once. (I have tested it, it is very slick).
At the top of the app, you see a bar with up to 5 of your most recent conversations. The conversations will be indicated with your user picture or the chatroom initials. Only 5 will be listed at one time. Once you hit 6, the 6th will drop back to your regular conversation list.
You will be alerted on this top bar when one of your chats has a new message for you to view. Screenshot here!
You will be able to click through to these conversations very easily from this top bar.

How can I turn it on?
In your account settings, you will need to turn this feature on. If you do not turn it on, you will not be able to participate. If you don't like it, you can turn it off at any time.
Should I expect bugs?
Yup, this is brand new!
Where can I report bugs? And give feedback?
Great, we'd love for you to tell us what is working & not working, so we can continue to get it right. Please use this form to file bug reports specifically related to this feature. Remember, if you don't love yet, you can turn it off and go right back to the original app!
Thank you everyone who willing to dive in and give this new feature a try! It should greatly enhance the quality of your chat experience, but we need your help in testing it! All are welcome! i couldnt find it on my android settings
Hey there i don't how to to turn this on. In my settings on the app I only have email, password and notifications changes. Help? Android app here.
I have the same issue with the iPhone app- I don't see a way to turn it on. )-:
Guys I don't think the update is out just yet, which is why it won't appear in your settings :) Subscribe to this forum for updates with regerd to the release! @Pheesun13 @christian33 @MizMickey
Ahh- I had seen posts in this thread indicating some folks had it working. I tried deleting and re-installing the app, no joy.
@MizMickey Oh I'm not sure. maybe some people have then :)

Is it working? I tried to update my app but it was already updated. I read to uninstall n reinstall. I'll try that but I need help if it doesn't work
Excited for the new app feature, hope it helps. Always hard jumping from room to room and pm to chatroom.
I am reliably informed that we still hope to get this test started today. I will post an update when I hear more.
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn , by today did you mean the 25th or 26th ? EST is still the 25th but not in europe , just to make sure ^-^
@Ace13, Xian's time zone is actually behind EST. So, 6/25/15 EST would be my guess. (@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn)
Good point , you are probably right !
I meant roughly Sunday in -7 gmt but I haven't heard an update so we're probably looking at Monday now.
I suggest an edit to the first post of this thread that would somehow explain that this new feature wasn't released yet :)

I thought that in the last paragraph of the original post, Laura said she would let us know when it went live? And I believe in the beginning, she said it would be released sometime this weekend! 
@RebeccaEmily -- I think the confusion is in the title in particular. But, it also sounds like it'll more likely happen on Monday :P
