Nov 10: Updated Android App is Now Live! WooHoo
The new version of the Android app is now available in the google play store! This version will mimic the updated site design and increase functionality for all users. It is also much more stable than the old version.
If you are an android person, please download the new version and provide us with feedback here in this form!

I wish I woulda never downloaded the new app for Android it sucks I can't do any of my listening or join any group support rooms. It definitely wasn't worth it. I wish I could go back to the old way.

I suspect the culprit right now is not the new app but the bot-attack on the site that is slowing everything to a crawl right now.

now the bug is a bit different,
a error message sayinghaving trouble reaching 7cups and asking me to try again...
and then i click on it and try again, and then the first error is back, it close the app when retrying...

I'm not sure what model of phone you have but we were seeing errors on some (and crashes) and so we have published a 2.0.1 version in the Play Store. If you can get that version, try it and let me know if it addresses this problem, please.

okay, I am able to go on the growth path, and see me conversations, but it's very long (5-10min) before it let's me type anything. and i'm not sure if my messages are sent for real in 1-on-1.

The new post updated version of the app kept crashing on my phone, all my other apps work completely fine. I tried going on via Chrome/my browser, and there's no 'enter' button so I cannot submit new chat messages.

have you tried the 2.0.1 version yet? Also, can you tell us what type of phone you have?

Please double-check:
1. Play Store on your device
2. Search/find 7 Cups
3. Click READ MORE
4. Scroll to bottom -version number on bottom-left.
Please make sure you have 2.0.2 and then let me know if the app is still giving your trouble.

can you tell us about your device so we can track down the incompatibility? Nothing has changed in terms of the versions of Android we support, but if there are quirks we can work them out.
One moment please, what are the new permissions for? Namely Photos and Wi-Fi connections information. Tia!

to be totally honest, I couldn't see where to turn those off! We don't need wifi information and we don't enable upload of images or anything, so I'll happily tell the app not to ask for those things, but they're not in the main checklist.
(I need to do a little research here.)
It should be in the AndroidManifest file. Check for tags like <uses-permission>... Thanks!

kewl, thanks. we can probably fix in our next build.
(I should note that we update faster than that as we work on the web-content side of things so for example we added new-message numbers on the Chat tab without updating the build in the Play store.)

I've noticed that there is a bit of lag through out (I use a Galaxy S5). Also, it would be fantastic if you could make an easier way to get to the browse listeners page.

The new version seems awesome but when I try to open the app there's a mistake that don't let me use it, the app closes just when I open it

can you tell me which version of the app you have in the store, what type of phone, and the Android OS version if possible?
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn I download the last version this morning and now it's working, I notice we can watch videos of youtube in the app, this version is amazing ^^
