October 21: New Version of the 7 Cups iOS App
Great news... there is a new verstion of the 7 Cups ios App!
Woohoo!
Updates include:
1. All new growth path steps
2. Added expert therapists to the app
3. More languages added!
4. A bunch of other minor bug fixes
If you are an iOS user, we encourage you to download the new version of the app.

Enjoying the sleek new app design. However, I'd like the option to edit my profile via the mobile app (description and such). I'd also like an easier way to post photos, like direct upload from phone rather than linking. Another general thing I'd like from the website is member username change availability. I understand not changing listener usernames, but I believe it's important to be able to change a member username.

@brjhere I have noticed that as well. Copy and pasting does not seem to work, which is a huge hassle when I am trying to re-direct users to crisis websites or otherwise.
PLease Developers We need an app for Windows 10. It will be so nice to have this on our all devices. Everyone uses Windows 10.

@AtifAli - I'm afraid we don't yet have a critical mass of Windows users on mobile devices and supporting Android and iOS both means we use a platform (Trigger) that helps us manage those two together. We will keep trying to improve the mobile web experience so that it offers a great alternative. There is also the unofficial lite.7cups.com url you can point your windows browser at to get much of the app experience.
Its nice but image uploading instead of linking would be so much better. Noq I need another app to get a pic link for this app and that just gets annoying so I don't often post them.

I don't atually know if they can be but it would be easier to do so.
One would hope that others have enough respect for the rest not to although I am aware that is a foolish desire

oh. :3 i find using the URL of the image easy if on a laptop. I don't know how to do it on mobile
@HalliwellSister @SilverJ - it's definitely not as convenient to have to use images hosting elsewhere but to be honest we just don't want to (and can't really afford to) go into the media-hosting business right now. That's a whole thing unto itself and maybe eventually it will make sense but today we can't really justify it. The need to police images would be just one aspect of that "expense."

Does it cost money to host images ? :O or do you mean "police" images to make sure people arent uploading indecent images?

I am very with the new version of app. The app has improved a lot. Thank you but I am using ipad and since the time app has been updated. I cannot see anyone's dp. I see only red,blue green colour in forums and in group,no one's dp is visible. I am sure you will resolve the issue soon otherwise great work. Infinite smiles and love to you all
@Aphroditegirl - not surw what DP refers to. Is this profile image? or something else. I know there are some iPad bugs for sure. Trying to nail down what this one is.

I love the new app quite an eye opener at first, but a very welcomed one... makes me smile every time I open it. 💚💜💚💜💚💜💚
I have a question and have emailed it and no response this may not be the correct place either but if someone could please direct me I would be thrilled. Does anyone else get the emails informing you of some one New Following you or Upvoting your Post sent to your email inbox❓the reason I ask is I use 7 cups in the app, on my iPad and when the email comes up it shows the name of the person now following you and you can follow them back, but when I push that the email takes me into the app in safari and says I have to sign up to become a New member to facilitate this. Why? Am I not doing something right? I am missing #s of friends I could be making because I can't reach out to them..... I don't know what to do, this has been going on for over six months, I've taken screen shots but I also cannot upload any pics not tech savvy and cannot figure that out either.
sorry for such a long not. Just need some help with a few frustrations I've been having for a while. Otherwise you guys @Laura u guys r wildly talented, this goes for ALL of the 7 cup teammates‼️‼️‼️💚💜😎 Lovingly baZ

@baZzchik54 - I'm not sure why the email is opening in a browser and not in your app but you should also be able to just go directly into the app and look in your notiifications or similarly go to the mobile website and look at your notifications there to follow someone back.
it should work as you expect (open directly in the app) so I'll try to figure out why it's not!

@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn the app sometimes freezes to the point where I have to close the app completely or jumps to another page in the middle of typing a post or sending a message.
Well, I think the iOS design is great but jeez the text is humongous, I can't see other user's profile pic and it's quite glitchy. Maybe if everything was a bit smaller, it wouldn't crash so much.
Worst upgrade I've seen! Can I uninstall???
