Wiki Launch Information! Yay!
The Wiki is here!
My dear friends, it is with great excitement, that the long awaited wiki is nearing its release date. It has been in utero for many months now and it is ready to make its grand appearance.
It will launch early next week - Monday or Tuesday most likely. Yay!
To start, we will be giving the base permissions to our volunteer teams with the badges listed below. The idea is to get some central content migrated over in the first week, set the tone for the wiki and provide any necessary feedback on the wiki tool. From there, we can open up the permissions further to include more people.
Privileges -
creating/editing public pages
creating/editing public categories
creating/editing listener pages
creating/editing listener categories
Badges - Forum Mentors, Forum Mentor Leaders, Forum Supporters, Ambassadors, 7 Cups Mentor badge, Forum Member Leader, Forum Teen Star, Chatroom Teen Star, Chatroom Mentor, Quality Mentor, Teen Quality Star, group mod leader, Teen Mentor, Community Mentor , intern mentor, group mods, mega member, forum member leader, peer support, community mentor leader
We are also creating a new badge! So if you are part of community centered moderation or you just want to join the wiki team, please fill up this form and we will get you plugged in and ready for the launch. The new Wiki Team badge will give you all of the necessary permissions to help out!
For those of you who plan on helping to migrate / add content - please share in this sheet what you plan to move over. Please work together/ in teams! Not everything needs to get migrated over. The wiki is not for conversation. So anything that exists in a the forum/ google sheet but its not for ongoing conversation, could possibly be moved.
Examples of content we may want to migrate -
1) is a topic guide
2) site guidelines or rules
3) Best practices threads
4) project information threads
Once the wiki is ready to launch, I will provide detailed information about how to add/ migrate content. And how to give us feedback!

Quick question, is @RarelyCharlie 's 8th Cup going to be in there?
@MarshmaIIows ... I've not ever heard of that, Marshmallows. Charlie's 8th cup? Where is it (here within 7cups site) or is it not written, just discussed? This sounds interesting :) More info please? ~ Platy P.S. Happy Easter!!!
@cyanPlatypus6370 You can check it out here:
@RarelyCharlie writes unofficial guides and formed an index/wiki page a long time back. RarelyCharlie's work is very cool and has a lot of things in there. There is no badges tied to it, Charlie just decided to do it. :D I'm sure Charlie would be able to answer your questions
No, I don't imagine that's going to be possible.
One factor is that the technologies are different. For example, the last thing I published is an unofficial guide for listeners, Harm. It has quizzes with randomized questions that you have to get right in order to progress through the guide. A wiki isn't intended for that kind of thing.
Another factor is that information in a wiki can be harder to maintain. For example, my unofficial 7 Cups Glossary is very easy for me to maintain at present. I could dump it in the wiki, but I worry that maintaining it there might be a lot more work.
Plain text, of course, can easily be copied into the wiki, and I suppose the wiki will permit links to external material. Anyone working on the wiki is welcome to copy or link to anything I've published.
@MarshmaIIows
@RarelyCharlie I understand. Thanks for taking your time to reply. I do hope that it does come out officially in some part of the site though, the 8th cup is very useful to anyone who wants to know more.
