Choose connection with others
One of the biggest problems we face in the world is that people are getting more and more disconnected from each other. When you observe people on the street or in waiting rooms you might notice how many of them are connected to their digital devices and hardly realize what’s going on in their environment.
Social connections strengthen bonds, promote positive mental health, and give life meaning. Isolation increases risks for health issues, including heart disease.

Seeking Help
Mental stress can cause us not to be able to see the good things in life and lead to excessive rumination or worries which can result in serious health problems. If you have serious, long-term problems with negative thinking and feeling depressed, see your doctor or talk to a therapist if they are related to any mental challenges.

@amiablePeace77 in guilty! 7 cups is how I connect with people. I do talk to people in the care home, but without cups I would be isolated. I guess in this world you can't win
@Tinywhisper11
I’m living proof that it’s the opposite - you can win in this world :) It’s just sad many people (of course I don’t believe you’re one of these people I’m talking about) who don’t believe that either give up too early or give up without even trying once. I feel so bad for them tbh wishing they’d believe more in themselves and realize that they can win.

Hi, Ami,
I write long emails or short emails. I'm not a chatter. I prefer to write.
@purpleTree4652 Same here. Writing is so nice for gathering thoughts. I stumble when speaking in person.
@purpleTree4652
Me too. In fact lots of people tell me that my “messages (email or especially texts) are novels” and I take that as a compliment haha 😂😂😂
I mostly keep in touch with people here. There are a couple people I try to connect with in my regular life. I’ll usually send a text letting them know I’m thinking of them, sending a joke, out of I’m feeling brave and up for listening I’ll call. ☺️

How do you stay connected with others?
By checking in on them making sure they’re good, what their current status or plans are, letting them know to contact me if they need anything including my help with anything or someone to talk to about anything
PS: If it’s ok I’d like to add that everyone’s different from everyone else and not everyone feels strong with others. Some people feel strongest or most comfortable when they are by themselves. These people won’t do things like singing, dancing, even laughing around others but will do any or all of those things when by themselves. When they’re by themselves there’s no judgement or criticism, maybe possibly not even any expectations. By around others, including friends and family, there’s bigger risk of any of that happening. I think that’s why they are more stronger and less vulnerable (nothing wrong being vulnerable btw) when they are by themselves
@amiablePeace77
Conversation rules in order to make others wish to talk to you more often so you have less efforts to make include asking them about their families, work and their life in general and prevent yourself from doing "all the talking". That is when "self-awareness" comes in. You might have common interests, like the art world, politics, school memories. If they have problems, be careful with being judgemental as well.
This is not all you need to do, but it helps in most cases
