How I can be kinder to myself:
I say horrible things to myself pretty much daily. I know it’s not good. But it feels like giving myself a dose of reality in the moment. I’ll also have moments where I know it’s not true, but those seem to not last as long. It’s like I know what I should be saying to myself, but I don’t know how much I believe it yet. I’ve been this way as long as I can remember. It’s been the way I have made sense of life’s pains. I’ve never really been able to deal with the fact that I am noticeably separate from the people around me.
How would I relate better to people if I were kinder to myself:
As much as I want to be close to people and feel lonely, I also know it’s partially my own doing. Especially nowadays. I keep my distance for the most part and usually have some walls up when I do interact. I’m friendly and do make acquaintances easily, people like me and think I’m funny, but I’m sure they can still sense my hesitation to get close. My radar is always up scanning for red flags, and I find them a lot. Every so often I’ll take a step out and try, get hurt, and retreat back into my cave. I’d like to hope that if my attitude was more positive, I would have better experiences with people. But I was very positive in my earlier life for a long time despite bad experience, and just had one bad experience after another.
I’m sorry for being so negative. I spend a great deal of time thinking about these things and have run out of ideas how to help myself. I like answering these prompts though, like one day something will just click.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas hugs you tightly 💗 I heard something on another post earlier. 'your anxiety and inner voice lies, your strength speaks truth, listen to the louder voice'💖

- How will being kind to yourself affect how you relate to others?
I believe meanwhile I am quite kind to myself. When one is kinder to oneself one has more tolerance for other people's behaviors.
@amiablePeace77 That’s a really great perspective, gives me something good to think about today, thank you. ❤️
@amiablePeace77 ahhh! Ok so that's how you put up with me😁😁
@Tinywhisper11

- How can you be more kind to yourself?
Being proud and happy with myself, being my authentic self, self caring, giving myself self respect and setting time out of the day or week for some me time, journaling thoughts so they’re not stuck in my head, going out for a walk or spending a day out when it’s weather appropriate. These are just some of the ways.
- How will being kind to yourself affect how you relate to others?
Being kind to myself will help me to be kind to others. I can use some of the ways I’m kind to myself as advice to help others be more happier in their own lives. Like if they wanna go outside for a day or for a walk when the weather is good enough for it and they don’t wanna be by themselves, I can join them or they can come with me, whichever one they prefer. We both have wanting to be outside in good weather and can use that to be kind to each other and to ourselves.
@soulsings be kinder to ourselves .
Be honest.
Know that it's ok to be not ok.
It's a strength to ask for help.
Perfect people dont exist.
Don't whitewash your feelings.
Don't make apologies for being you 💕
Talk to yourself as you would a friend.
Be good and compassionate in how you address yourself.
Make time for doing what you like.
Laugh lots.
I heard chocolate helps 😁
