Thank you,

@courageouspanda2006 that is a good question. It depends on what works best for you. Here are some options

Journal all your feelings   -  Talk to Noni the 7 Cups Auto Listener  -  Explore the thoughts behind the emotions   -  talk to a therapist   -  Do physical activities  like 5 minute Tai Chi oon youtube to express energy and movement  -  do yoga by adrieenne on youtube to open up emotions

Talk to a listener here on 7 CUps

@soulsings

I purchased a guided journal to help me get started and the habit of writing in one. Wasn't sure what to write in it.

There really isn't any thoughts behind my emotions. Some days, I almost feel robotic. I guess I've suppressed so long, I don't feel much of anything anymore.

Already have a therapist and she is opening my eyes to things I didn't see.

Attempting to get back into a workout routine. Just moved and have an add on to the garage that will make a great home gym. Needs work though to get it there.

Having a difficult time attempting meditation. Not sure how Tai Chi or yoga would fair at this point. 6'-8" and 220 lbs, flexible is not a word I'd use to describe myself. 😂

@courageouspanda2006 I hear you emotions can be elusive. the 5 minute Tai chi on YouTube helps ground the energy and may open emotions. Gratitude is something to write in the journal. That may uncover emotions. Think of anyone that harmed you and think they are just like me. They want to be happy and not suffer just like me. That could uncover buried feelings.

Talking anonymously with listeners here helped me a lot... you feel safe because of the anonymity and you can share your true feelings... not all listeners are serious but if you keep trying one in every few hits would be a compassionate insightful soul trying to lend you a helping hand.

I'm really bad for this too. I'm finding journaling helpful to just get my thoughts out on the page. Or being brave and confiding in someone you trust about what's troubling you can make you feel like a weight is off your shoulders. :)

Bottling up emotions can feel heavy, almost like carrying a weight that no one else can see.

The fact that you’re recognizing this is already a powerful step toward healing. Emotions are meant to be processed, not suppressed.

so finding a safe way to express them can make a huge difference. This could be through journaling, talking to a counsellor or engaging in creative activities like music or art. Even physical movement, like a walk or exercise, can help release built-up tension.

Find ways to create space for your emotions rather than pushing them down.

What are some ways

you’ve found relief in the past?

If you are not sure, you can try new things to dscover what works for you:)
