I don't know how I would describe myself. I would not want to say anything negative about myself even if it were true. Anything positive just sounds like bragging to me, a trait I very much dislike.
@Gettingbettertoday
You seem to be a quite modest person. I am sure there is a lot of good about you!
@Gettingbettertoday I'd say your like a star in the sky, beautiful from a distance😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Just tell them this.... Amazing that is what I am.

If you were speaking to a friend or even a complete stranger, how would you describe yourself?
If I were speaking to a friend I would describe myself as not very talkative but a quiet person. I would also describe myself as one who sometimes likes to talk to friends but not too much.
If I were speaking to a complete stranger, I would not willingly or freely tell much about myself. Since he/she is complete stranger and I don't know their intentions. In other words, I would be quite afraid or nervous with such kinds of strangers since I don't know much about them.
Just being myself
@Digvijaysingh247 that's the bestestestest thing to be ❤❤
@amiablePeace77 brave strong and silent a. Learner leader beautiful that’s presents me
@dhabib

@amiablePeace77 that’s true they record observe that’s what I do

If you were speaking to a friend or even a complete stranger, how would you describe yourself?
Why should I need to describe myself to a friend, since that's obviously someone who already knows me?
Well, a friendly complete stranger that would show interest would probably be able to assess what I look like. If they show they want to know more, I would want to know WHAT and WHY they want to know. This said, I must confess that I easily talk about myself. A lot of it is past experience and the present since I am retired.
@Fradiga
Nothing wrong to ask What and Why!
@amiablePeace77
Well, of course. You have to sniff the reason and how engaging that stranger is.
@amiablePeace77
to a stranger I would remain generic in my descriptions, the first thing that comes to my mind with this prompt is the ice breakers in a class or meeting. I am a mother to 2 adult children, I enjoy crafts and the outdoors. to a friend this prompt makes me think of a deep conversation and vulnerability so my honest description of myself is - People pleasing, anxious, self conscious, loving, empathetic, bright, inquisitive, overwhelmed, sad, angry, coming to terms with life, middle aged woman.
@tealShip8148
Thank you for sharing your honest description with us too. I think one needs to have trust first to be able to open up and let another person see what's really going on inside. Being a people pleaser can be very exhausting. I hope that this site will help you to find ways to deal with the parts of you that need support.
@amiablePeace77 I just being honest with them talking about myself because I believe you give trust, you will gain trust from others 😊
@TraceyDinh good idea but I only try to tell people what I think they can accept. I am trying not to aggravate people.
Do you think telling all is a good idea?
@amiablePeace77
even if I had a friend. It depends on how long we’ve been friends that affects how I am. If we’re new friends, I may talk shyly and not talk much unless they’re May be a subject I’m enthusiastic about and we’ll likely talk comfortably. Also when the other person can communicate well and relate to my feelings of shyness the more well get along and I’ll feel comfortable around them. With a stranger though im not sure. It would be hard to make eye contact it depends on the age of the person. But once again if they make me feel comfortable I’m sure it would be a pretty good experience.
@kindPenny465 I think youi are wise to be cautiouis until yoiu have complete confidence that your friend is really a freind and will not judge you. One clue if they will judge you is how they talk about other people. If they bad mouth them, thelyl will probably bad mouth you and tell everyone.
