Well, "Mother's Day" is not universally celebrated and when it is, not on the same day as the American/Canadian day.

You are correct. There are many countries that celebrate Mother's Day in March, especially surrounding March 8th (International Women's Day) or March 21st (Spring Equinox ) and some others that are at different times, outside of May. May does seem, though, to be the most celebration recognition with many countries. And yea, some do not recognize or celebrate.
