I practise mindfulness - compassion, gratitude and patience - as well as dbt techniques, doing fun projects and watching funny videos for my mental heart health. A healthy diet and exercise help me to keep my heart physically fit.

@soulsings

I practice mindfulness and yoga and combine them both daily at least 2-3 times a day. I make sure when I get nervous or angry and my breathing is not where it should be to close my eyes and relax using breathing exercises.

Emotionally it is a works in progress, but feel I'm taking small steps in a more positive direction.

@soulsings It does with me. I can be in a total mental fog and go to church doesnt necessarily need be a mass and I will come out of there with loads off my shoulder or what I do when possible I will go to confession weekly and I Don’t Know what it it is but its like it keeps me grounded for the week and so much more easier to endure the struggles of the week and prayer just keeps me balanced and just in a peaceful state of mind.

@eternalHero77 I also keep my rosary on me 24/7 so if I get nervous, worried, or scared I reach for my rosary and it brings me calmness and stillness.

Psychotherapy, particularly in the areas of emotional regulation and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also use sublimation as a defense mechanism, converting my unacceptable emotions into art.

@soulsings

Time to put my phone down, 7 Cups is becoming a distraction, in the best way possible, my sense of connection is greatly improved.

Off to gym for a short spin bike session to warm up and get my heart rate up, usually progressive intensity standing intervals until I hit 90-95% max. Psychologically it gives me peace of mind as I know the blood is being pumped through my pulmonary artery and lungs at high pressure and volume and therefore hopefully dislodging and excess clots that may of built up overnight. It's only 10-15 minutes overall but priceless 😁😁

Then as my name suggests I spend an hour sometimes doing a continual run 10-12 km but more often a low intensity walk/run, jeffing session that's around 9-10 Km. The low intensity is the key part so my body is primarily being fat not protein from the muscles.

@soulsings

I have considered my health anxiety from PTSD, 2 pulmonary embolisms in 2105 & 17, to be low level, but just recently accepted it isn't the case and is more intense than I'd been admitting. I haven't missed a day in over 3 years and I absolutely dread the day life interrupts my ability to keep active and proactively manage thrombosis.

@RunningMachine we get habituated to being mobile but there are no guarantees how life will turn out.

I enjoy journaling, practicing gratitude, eating healthy, and sleeping enough. I also spend time reading the Bible and meditating on scripture.
