I felt proud when
I do not always feel proud of my accomplishments, but sometimes I like to at least acknowledge that I worked hard and succeeded in making progress and even sometimes accomplishing what I set out to do.

The example that comes to my mind is when I became a 7 Cups listener. I really felt like I could help people and it gave me a good feeling.

I am not quite sure I feel proud of anything in particular even when there is progress In the mindset and reported actions of members I am talking with. What I am often happy with, though, is to observe that they feel a lot better at times.

Thanks ! It's more of a satisfaction than pride, but okay 😃😃😃. It could be that the feeling of "pride" is not usual to me. Now, if I manage to train my new pooch so he's behaving - THEN maybe...
@Fradiga yes that’s right! Small baby steps and you’ll get there! Training a dog with those small tricks are awesome and so pleasant feeling!!

I've made an appointment with the dog whisperer and we are already making good progress before she's even here. I wish Shin would lie down on command rather than flop down and roll over for a potential belly rub. He wants that more than a treat to eat. A lot less pulling on the leash as well now

I feel proud of being able to let go of negative thoughts (not always but most of the time).
I feel proud of being part of 7cups.
@soulsings I feel proud when I get more of my goals done in a day than I plan! Some days are harder than others to get things done, but I always try my best!

I understand how you feel for a very long time for three years I was with a piano teacher who taught me everything how to be a master at piano I sacrificed a lot I sacrificed time with my girlfriend with my family just me time to put in the piano and now I have five great compositions Chopin Beethoven and Bach, That I can be proud of and move on from. But I no longer really wanna be with him as a student I want to take a break and move on and maybe share what I’ve learned with my friends and family so I understand it takes sacrifice and I know that you’ve probably done a lot in your life to become a master at your hobby and you should be extremely proud of that even if it gives you pain in some way or form.
I was watching a show called The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and in the show an Observer sees painting For the first time and says that the painter should sell this and that is the most beautiful thing that she’s ever seen.
But the painter says no he doesn’t want to sell it but he made this for himself that he put everything in this painting he has nothing left he has no money has no family no friends left he put everything into this and he just wants it for himself and I think that is very powerful to say that no matter what you do for yourself whether that’s piano or a hobby that you’ve mastered in or love you did it for yourself and you don’t have any obligation to share it with anyone if you don’t want to. But you should be extremely and exorbitantly proud of it.

Just saying that makes me feel like you’ve done so many things you should be proud of without you even realizing it! Like being a….dad!!! That is a wonderful thing (and maybe it’s just part of your thread name?) but I feel like eitherway, being a dad is so wonderful and it might be really hard and full of challenging moments, that you weren’t ready for maybe, but the fact that you made it to be a dad is a once in a life time moment that I want for myself someday soon! It’s something I never thought could happen, and then it happens all of a sudden! So be proud of that! Thank you for sharing that.

Hugs (if accepted), you seem to be very harsh on yourself. I find reaching out and coming here is something to be proud of tbh, so many people just give up - you did not, you reached out!
@devastatedDad88 Your not a failure. Sometimes, you just have practice and work at it.
I also have a learning disability on top of it. My motto's are: Believe in Your-Self. Do not give up.
@devastatedDad88 I have many failures in life. I try to learn from my failures so I can do better next time.
@soulsings it’s hard to accept to learn from your failures. It’s hard to accept that failures are real and that you have to push past them quickly or they will burden you down. I don’t want to have anymore “failures” in my mind, but I feel like I am struggling with that too these days. I just need to push my confidence up. I know I can do it, and all of you can too. Just listen to @soulsings and those in this thread and you can and will get past those negative thoughts quicker than you realize soon enough! So those negative thoughts go away much quicker and you realize how proud you should be in these really important moments in your life.
@Chopin1Fred I hear you. To me failure is in the eyes of the beholder. I remember Alexander Graham Bell trying to make the phone work and failed every time. He spilled something and he thought it was another failure but it helped the phone work for the first time.

I feel proud of myself on 7cups when I am able to help our new Listeners with questions, links they may need or how certain things maybe done here. I feel proud when they continue to come to me asking for help, some apologize for bothering me but their not, their asking for help to understand the sites.
