Insomnia

@Tauriel98
Not being able to sleep and/or having nightmares is terrible and makes it very hard to get through the next day. So sorry if you're experiencing insomnia and nightmares.
Something that helps me with better sleep is making a to-do-list, so I don't need to be afraid that I forget something the next day and also sleep meditations.
When I was young, I suffered a lot from nightmares, so I decided to create a hero to come into my dream to rescue me. I also gave me superpowers. It really helped and still helps when getting a nightmare.
This reminded me of something my dad used to do: he would break down something he need to do and list them out. So, like if he needed to go to the bank in the morning: get in the car, drive to the bank, go inside, talk to the banker, ask for money, etc etc
I had really bad insomnia in middle school and the thing that helped the most was having an outlet to talk to someone about all the things I was feeling in my every day life. But a good short term fix that always worked for me was getting out of bed and doing a ton of jumping jacks and pushups until I physically can’t anymore and then I jump in bed and fall asleep almost instantly
This breathing technique helped me: 4-7-8 breathing, where you inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and exhale for 8. As well as magnesium and CBD supplements. Praying. Hypnosis or guided meditation. Reading a non-fiction book. May you be able to get more rest and have only good dreams 🤲🏼
I practice and indian traditional technique called sandhyavandam if i lack sleep and it puts me to sleep 😴 💤
Same
I’ve struggled a lot with sleep throughout my life. I found that listening to ASMR videos or putting a movie on on a low volume helped me. It gave me something to focus on and distracted me from any bad thoughts. Taking magnesium before bedtime is also helpful💕
Nutritional lithium in small amounts helps... but check with doctor if taking other things and the dosage should be small
One thing that has helped me is holding a pen and notebook while im trying to sleep, and even in the dark with my eyes closed i have to write down every thought that i get. Yes every thought and it only works if i write every thought even if its just thinking about writing. in the morning most of it isnt readable but that doesnt matter. what it does is force my brain to slow down as i have to keep focus on one thought until ive finished writing it rather than having multiple racing and changing thoughts all at once. It gets better with practice and now all i have to do is hold the pen and paper and ill start to fall asleep after only writing a few lines.
@Tauriel98 Thanks

I reduced my screen time! And heard plenty of flute to stay focused while sleeping, also stopped thinking about the thoughts that I can't fall asleep, laying in the bed not using phone even if I couldn't fall asleep for atleast a month after that sleep came naturally to me.
