Stress levels are normally in the mid to high range. I try to remember what is in my circle of control/ influence & that seems to help a little.

How are your stress levels lately? I am doing okay.
What helps you to calm when they rise? I focus on the breath.
@soulsings
Glad to hear you're doing okay and that focusing on your breath helps to relax.
@amiablePeace77 that and not letting anger take over.
@soulsings that is a wonderful way to think about it.
@amiablePeace77
How are your stress levels lately?
On the higher side.
What helps you to calm when they rise?
Deep breathing.
@trueconfidant123
Sorry to hear that you're under so much stress! Deep breathing is a good way to calm and reduce higher blood pressure which can harm your body. Some people make good experiences with integrating more relaxation techniques, eating foods that help to relieve stress and engage in regular exercises.
@amiablePeace77
Thank you for the suggestions
@trueconfidant123 Always here to help! 😍
@amiablePeace77
Thank you. The link is really helpful.
@trueconfidant123 I hope you feel better and I am glad you found a way to control it. 😄
@HealingEcho
Me too. Thank you.
How are your stress levels lately? What helps you to calm when they rise?
My stress levels are moderate to severe, fluctuating. Breathing slowly and deeply can help a bit.
@Zeraphim
Good that breathing exercises help! Too much stress can affect our whole body! I hope coming here and talking about your situation with a listener helps!
@Zeraphim Got it. Try box breathing (inhale 4s, hold 4s, exhale 4s, hold 4s) or 4-7-8 breathing (inhale 4s, hold 7s, exhale 8s) to help regulate stress. If it persists, consider seeking support

How are your stress levels lately?
Through the roof. Therapy is bouncing around too much.
What helps you to calm when they rise?
Not much is working right now. Have 2 weeks off of therapy.
@courageouspanda2006
Therapy can be hard when "touching" spots that have not given attention too but need to be addressed. I hope it will be easier after your break. What are you currently doing to relax and enjoy your day?
@amiablePeace77
Not much of anything. Sleep, work, cook, clean, repeat. Feels like the movie Groundhog Day.
Any type of "skills" I've had to learn on my own. If it wasn't for 7 Cups and a couple on social media, I'd really be lost right now. I'm not very good at them but I'm trying. I'm not going down without a fight.
@courageouspanda2006
Keep fighting, don't give up, we are your Army, we are here to support you!
@amiablePeace77
Giving up is not an option.
@courageouspanda2006 I agree therapy can be hard sometimes, but it is important to control your emotions , and hold firms with the decisions you make. I wish you the best! 🤗
@amiablePeace77
How are your stress levels lately? What helps you to calm when they rise?
Lately my stress levels have been high. Journaling helps me calm down when my stress levels rise.
@amiablePeace77 My stress levels are not good, mentally and emotionally I think my patience thread has broken in half. what helps me feel calm is watching elephant videos, I dont know if its cause they are calm animals but they've become a source of comfort for some reason
@amusingWest5360
When life is so challenging one needs something to calm. 💙 I find elephants represent calm, strength and gentleness. It's soothing to watch them.
@amusingWest5360 I am happy you found a source of calmness and joy. Keep it up! 😊
@amiablePeace77 I'm extremely stressed at the moment, I have to do something difficult in 2 days, my stress is a 9.5, I'm hoping I will handle it well or that it will be cancelled. I can use all the support I can get. Luckily this event will only be 2 hours long but 2 hours can feel like forever with panic.
@genericbeing I don’t know what kind of event, but sometimes it helps me to have a plan. Like if I don’t want to be in a big crowd but have to, can I only stay there a little while or find a quiet spot to take a breather? If it’s a stressful family event, do I need to limit my time? Maybe there’s a vague response I can have for pushy questions or judgments. I have to stay away from trying to predict everything because that will stress me more, but a couple ideas helps me feel like I’m not at the mercy of whatever’s stressing me. Maybe you can focus on anything positive that might come from it. You can do this, it will be over before you know it. ❤️
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas Thanks I'm going to try distracting myself, and try writing down the stressors then throwing it away. I know the time will go fast if I can keep myself too busy to stress.
@genericbeing That’s great! You can do this!
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas I did it, it took a lot out of me, I panicked the first hour but calmed by the second, at least that events done. I won't have to do it again until next year.
@genericbeing Hey that’s amazing! Is it ok to say I’m so proud of you? You proved to yourself that you can do it. And that 2nd hour shows you that you are resilient and can use your resources to help yourself through things. Maybe treat yourself to a little something to celebrate the win!
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas I have a cheese cake to celebrate :)
@genericbeing You’re awesome! Cheesecake is the best. 😁
Was just wondering, how are you feeling since then? I know for me sometimes I have residual feelings after.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas I woke with vertigo the next morning after it, but gradually my stress has gone down
@genericbeing Oh wow. 😮 Well I’m glad it’s gotten better since then.
@genericbeing Great idea
@amiablePeace77
How are your stress levels lately?
Too high to even have any numbers on it
What helps you to calm when they rise?
I’m currently in the process of finding that out myself but writing, being on this site, music, being away from whatever’s stressing me out are some things that are really helpful
@akunknown
I hope your stress levels will go down very soon and you find help with the resources here on the site. How are you feeling today?
@amiablePeace77
Thank you. That means a lot ❤️❤️❤️ I’m feeling better today but till certain things out of my control happen I don’t believe my stress will be completely gone which is the actual goal for me now.
@amiablePeace77. I sometimes deal with stress, and I remember that it is completely fine, especially if you have positive people around you.
@HealingEcho
Having positive people around you helps with not getting caught up in daily stress.
@amiablePeace77 I agree
